1. Implicitly: Avoid early specialisation - Encourage Juniors to participate in Sports like Tennis, Badminton, Hockey and Football/Soccer, they are fantastic at training young golfers to be coordinated and fast. They each train the 4 main power sources in the Golf Swing:

The track is 1/8 of a mile, and depending on class, is contested as a bracket race or a heads-up start on a 5-tenths sportsman tree. Racers' E.T (elapsed time) is determined by age. Drivers age 5 can only test in single-car passes, and can go no faster than 20.00 seconds. Drivers age 6-7 can go no faster than 13.90 (and must start heads-up), and can officially compete in full competition. Drivers age 5-7 must use a crate engine from Briggs & Stratton with a slide valve to reduce power. Drivers age 8-9 can go no faster than 11.90, 10- to 12-year-olds are limited to 8.90, and 13- to 17-year-olds can go up to 7.90 at 85 MPH. Drivers 14-20 can race in Jr. Comp, where racers are limited to 6.900 at 109.99 MPH. Drivers who are 9 as of January 1 can participate in either the 8-9 or 10-12 category once they turn 10 during the year, and drivers who are 12 as of January 1 can participate in the 10-12 or 13-17 category once they turn 13 during the year. Drivers who turn 14 may run in Jr. Comp. A driver who turns 18 during the year may stay in Jr. Dragster before jumping to either the adult classes or Jr. Comp.

Jr. Dragsters also compete in a different racing class called 'Outlaw'. This class is run to the 330 ft. cone of the racing surface. The class runs heads-up on a 4-tenths pro tree. Usually this class is a qualified field, so the teams have to give it all they can just to make the field. While different series rules vary, the main principle is the same. The different series restrict engine combinations and weight packages so that the cars do not exceed the 4.10 time NHRA says is the fastest junior dragsters can run to the 330 ft. legally.

The cars that Jr. Drag Racing League competitors race are called Jr. Dragsters and are half-scale versions of Top Fuel dragsters. Using a five-horsepower, single-cylinder engine, a Jr. Dragster can go as fast as 85 mph and as quick as 7.90 seconds in an eighth-mile, though younger competitors are restricted to slower times/speeds. Just like their full-size Top Fuel counterparts, Jr. Dragsters must meet NHRA's stringent technical specifications. NHRA also places speed and elapsed-time restrictions on competitors based on their age and experience.

Experienced tech leaders have discovered some effective and practical ways to get junior developers up to speed fast, even while working remotely. Below, they offer tips for helping new developers learn the ropes and make a strong team contribution in relatively short order.

Erickson assigns new hires tasks that are well within their competence and aptitude. He also provides step-by-step instructions and context to help a junior developer see the big picture and how their work fits into the scope of the project. This approach allows new developers to contribute right away and work more independently.

Humans are not the only ones suffering for fast fashion. It also hurts the environment. For example, the industry uses huge amounts of water and other natural resources. Producing enough cotton for one pair of jeans requires roughly 1,800 gallons of water. That is the same as about 106 showers.

Fast fashion also causes pollution. For example, polyester is the most widely used synthetic fiber. It is made from petroleum. Manufacturing polyester releases dangerous gases into the air. Meanwhile, farming cotton accounts for a quarter of all the pesticides used in the U.S. Some of those pesticides can cause asthma and other health problems. The chemicals also pollute fresh water and wells near farms.

Getting good at on-call: By pairing with teammates on on-call issues early on in my career, I was able to learn from how they approached each issue. That allowed me to solve on-call issues as fast as them and made for an easier promotion case. Additionally, because I was able to fix on-call issues quickly, our customer support team would call out how helpful I was, which gave me big bonus points as a junior engineer.

Identified opportunities for new team processes: After documenting my learnings, I realized there wasn’t a great way for me to share my learnings. I worked with my manager to create a bi-weekly team meeting we called “Mind Meld.” I got to be the one to lead it and get people to present. In the first meeting, I presented the documentation I created and my learnings from it. After that, I made a spreadsheet and requested volunteers every 2 weeks. The team process still exists to this day and has been an opportunity for junior members of the team to get a leadership opportunity.

As a junior, you’re expected to need guidance, and you should take it because you have a lot to learn. At this level, you should be able to do scoping and designing, then be able to present it to your senior teammates for approval.

First comes fun, then a steady progression to training and performance. Prior to age 12, coaches of juniors should focus on helping the athlete complete the first three steps, in sequence. Steps four, five, and six take into account that kids develop at different speeds, so this second progression is led by the athlete under the patient guidance of a coach.

Read more about polarized training and explore the case studies from Dr. Stephen Seiler, including data from a young up-and-coming junior cyclist, Norwegian Per Strand Hagenes in the first few years of his career to illustrate the rewards of a longer view on athlete development and performance.

So how fast will your kid's feet grow and how often will you need new shoes? The most accurate answer: it depends. But if you want a general rule about what to expect, we offer this advice that is by no means set in stone:

The Monoprice Mini Delta v2 is a small, affordable and super fast printer aimed at beginners. It requires no assembly, has auto bed leveling, a color touch screen, Wi-Fi and easy-to-use slicing software.

Delta printers have three arms placed at three points of an equilateral triangle around its circular build plate. Each arm is equal and can move up and down, forward and back, plus side to side. This allows for smaller and faster movements.

That seemed like an unrealistic goal at the time for a 19-year-old with 106 Minor League games to his name and an assignment to start the season with High-A Bowling Green. It probably still is, but it also seems unfair to put anything past the fast-rising prospect.

With capital markets shut and deal activity muted, it would be easy to assume that opportunities in private junior debt are at a standstill, too. However, we are encouraged to see some green shoots even in the cold, dark days of January, and we think their growth this year will be an exciting opportunity.

There is a significant amount of private equity dry powder, and valuations for high-quality companies remain at elevated levels. We believe acquirers will not be able to raise as much senior financing as in recent years, and in many capital structures, junior capital will fill the gap.

Extensions and refinancing are also starting to feature. Borrowers are facing reduced interest coverage ratios due to the mechanical impact of base rates being far higher than most had predicted. As maturities come due, we anticipate that many borrowers will have to reduce the amount of senior debt on their balance sheets, resetting coverage ratios back or refinancing their debt. Private junior debt seeks to accomplish this, reducing or avoiding the need for significant new equity.

We are also seeing some private junior debt deals originate from add-on activity; namely, inquiries from existing borrowers that are either looking to raise additional capital as a cash buffer or pursuing opportunistic, smaller, bolt-on mergers and acquisitions.

We have a growing list of potential opportunities in our own pipeline, with average EBITDA of some $500 million. We prefer to deploy junior capital in larger companies, which we believe are more resilient in low-growth environments, and our current opportunities confirm that demand is strong in this segment. 17dc91bb1f
