Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Fashfy mobile application (the "Application"), provided by Kalize as an ad-supported visual fashion search service. Privacy contact: keliasdev@gmail.com.
Information We Collect and Use
Fashfy collects and processes information needed to provide visual fashion search and app functionality. This may include:
Photos or images you choose from your camera, gallery, share sheet, Pinterest, or an image URL.
Optional search details, text queries, and country filter selections.
Search results, bookmarks, and small local thumbnails saved on your device for history.
App activity, diagnostics, crash logs, device information, IP address, advertising identifiers, and approximate usage information collected by analytics, diagnostics, performance, and advertising SDKs.
Fashfy uses the camera only when you choose to take a photo. The app does not request broad photo-library permissions, does not collect contacts, SMS, call logs, financial information, or precise device location, and does not require account registration.
Fashfy uses automated visual search and image matching services to return similar shopping results. Photos and image URLs are processed only to provide the visual search feature, operate the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve app reliability.
Categories of Service Providers
Fashfy uses trusted service providers to operate the service. These providers may process data on our behalf for the purposes described in this policy. The categories of recipients include:
Backend and cloud infrastructure providers for routing requests, validation, security, and protection of server-side keys.
Image hosting and cloud storage providers for temporary image upload hosting and cleanup.
Visual search and shopping result providers for image matching and shopping result retrieval.
Analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and performance monitoring providers for app reliability and measurement.
Advertising networks and ad measurement providers for ads, ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and rewarded/interstitial/banner ad functionality.
Feed image/content providers and hosting services for discovery feed images and attribution.
We do not sell user-selected photos. Advertising identifiers and app activity may be shared with advertising and measurement providers as described in this policy and in Google Play Data safety section. Data may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer with legally adequate notice.
Photo and Image Processing
When you search with a local photo, Fashfy uploads that image temporarily so the visual search provider can fetch it. The backend requests short-lived upload options from an image hosting provider and attempts server-side deletion after the visual search request. The app also stores a delete token as a fallback for retrying cleanup when possible.
When you search with an image URL or Pinterest image, Fashfy sends the URL to the backend and visual search providers to return shopping results.
Local Storage and Retention
Fashfy stores search history, result metadata, bookmarks, and small thumbnails locally on your device so you can revisit results. Local history and thumbnails remain until you clear history, uninstall the app, or the device removes app data.
Service providers may retain limited operational logs according to their own terms and privacy policies. If you contact us for deletion or privacy requests, we will respond in a reasonable time.
Your Choices
You can stop app data collection by uninstalling Fashfy. You can clear local search history and thumbnails from the History screen. You can manage ad personalization and reset your advertising ID in your device or advertising settings where available.
Children
Fashfy is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for child-directed use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians can contact keliasdev@gmail.com.
Security
We use HTTPS for network transmission, keep cloud upload and visual search service secrets on the backend, validate backend inputs, limit image payload size, and attempt to delete temporary uploads after visual search. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards for the type of service provided.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be made in the app and on this public privacy policy page. Continued use of Fashfy after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.
