Winter Performance Groups

The Farmington United Winter Performance Groups (Farmington United) consists of multiple indoor performing ensembles competing in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit (MCGC); which is a constituent of Winter Guard International (WGI). WGI Sport of the Arts is the world's premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion, and wind ensemble competitions. As a non-profit youth organization, WGI serves as the leading governing body of the winter guard and indoor percussion activities. WGI provides a venue for young people to achieve the extraordinary through performance and competition.

Farmington United to field two groups!

Farmington United will be fielding two groups for the 2020 competitive season. Information about each of our performing ensembles can be found below.

Percussion Independent Open

Apex Percussion (Apex) competes in MCGC and WGI Independent Open Class. Apex is open to all eligible students who are at least in high school and younger than 23 years of age. This ensemble competes in various WGI and MCGC competitions and concludes their season at WGI World Finals in Dayton, OH.

Percussion Regional A

FUPE competes in MCGC Regional A Class. FUPE Regional A provides experience for students new to the WGI activity and is meant for middle school students or younger. This ensemble competes in various WGI and MCGC competitions in South East Michigan and concludes their season each year by performing at MCGC State Finals in Saginaw, MI.

Audition for FUPE
