12 October 2024 — Fariha completed her M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at McGill University.
20 May 2024 — Research work entitled "Pre-compression of high-order soliton for enhanced soliton self-frequency shift" was accepted for an oral presentation at the Advanced Photonics Congress 2024.
11 August 2023 — Fariha received the 2023 COPL Co-Supervision Fellowship by COPL, the Center for Optics, Photonics, and Laser.
31 July 2023 — Research work entitled "Design and analysis of a highly sensitive SPR based PCF bisensor with double step dual peak shift sensitivity" was published in the journal Heliyon.
15 November 2022 — Collaborative research work entitled "Design of a Dual Spider-Shaped SPR based Refractometric Sensor with High Amplitude Sensitivity" was published in the journal IET Optoelectronics.
31 August 2022 — Fariha started her M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering at McGill University.
18 June 2022 — Research work entitled "Design of a Quad Channel SPR-based PCF Sensor for Analyte, Strain, Temperature, and Magnetic Field Strength Sensing" was published in the journal Optical and Quantum Electronics.
22 March 2022 — Fariha got accepted into the "Master of Science (Thesis) in Electrical Engineering" program at McGill University.
24 February 2022 — Collaborative research work "Design of a Dual Cluster and Dual Array-based PCFSPR Biosensor with Ultra High WS and FOM" was published in the journal Plasmonics.
7 February 2022 — Research work entitled "Trigonal Cluster-based Ultra-Sensitive Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor for Multipurpose Sensing" was published in the journal Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research.
1 February 2022 — Fariha was promoted to Shikho as a Subject Matter Expert (Math).
10 October 2022 — Fariha joined Shikho as an Instructor (Math).

24 November 2021 — One of Fariha's SPR sensor designs got published in the journal Applied Nanoscience. The title of this collaborative work is "Design and Analysis of a QC-SPR-PCF Sensor for Multipurpose Sensing with Supremely High FOM".
13 October 2022 — Fariha attained an overall band score of 7.5 in the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic module, where individual band scores were 8.5 in Listening, 7.5 in Reading, 7.0 in Speaking, and 6.5 in Writing.
22 March 2021 — Fariha completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur, Bangladesh.
19 February 2021 — Fariha's co-authored research article "Highly birefringent gold-coated SPR sensor with extremely enhanced amplitude and wavelength sensitivity" was published in The European Physical Journal Plus.
11 February 2021 — Successfully defended the undergraduate thesis on "Design of Fabrication Friendly & Highly Sensitive Surface Plasmon Resonance-Based Photonic Crystal Fiber Biosensors."
6 January 2021 — Collaborative research work titled "Design and Analysis of a Biochemical Sensor Based on Surface Plasmon Resonance with Ultra-high Sensitivity" got published in the journal Plasmonics.
16 October 2020 — Results in Physics published Fariha's work "Design of a fabrication friendly & highly sensitive surface plasmon resonance-based photonic crystal fiber biosensor."
27 July 2020 — Fariha's co-authored work "Design and analysis of birefringent SPR based PCF biosensor with ultra-high sensitivity and low loss" got published in Optik.
2 October 2019 — Fariha's co-authored first journal article "Highly Birefringent Slotted Core Photonic Crystal Fiber for THz Wave Propagation" got published in Physics of Wave Phenomena.
21 June 2019 — Fariha joined the "Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) Research Group" led by Professor Dr Mohammad Rakibul Islam.
