Fareena Noor Malhi
Hi, I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Economics, University of Bath. In addition to seven years of experience in academia, I have also worked with United Nations and OXFAM America. I received my PhD from American University, Washington D.C in 2020 as a Fulbright Scholar.
I am an applied microeconomist specializing in the field of behavioral development economics, with a strong focus on gender dynamics. Currently, my research primarily addresses the underlying causes of low female labor force participation and out-of-school children in the developing countries. Additionally, it examines policies and interventions that could mitigate these challenges. I employ both non-experimental methods, utilizing administrative and survey data, and experimental methods.
