I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Singapore Management University. I hold a PhD in Strategy from National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
My research interests include nonmarket strategy, global strategy, and sociopolitical issues. My recent work examines how established and nascent firms navigate sociopolitical challenges, with a focus on geopolitical tensions and mass protests in emerging markets. I blend my research with impactful events and on-the-ground observations. I collected data from and interviewed a diverse array of organisations, from publicly listed companies to small restaurants and cosmetics entrepreneurs.
Beyond research, I enjoy city walks, bus rides, and hiking in the mountains.
