I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on the role of patent trade and its impact on innovation outcomes and incentives. I combine US patent data, drug development data, and firm-level information to study how the timing of patent trade and market frictions affect the product development outcome and innovation incentives, in the context of the pharmaceutical industry.
