HISTORY: Family Promise of Odessa is a non-profit agency that partners with churches and approximately volunteers to provide shelter, food, necessities and support services to homeless families with children. Families receive services and training that assist them in obtaining sustainable housing, income and stability. Through community partnerships, FPO provideshousing, food transportation costs, child care, referrals to social service agencies, assessments and referrals to jobs. Our facility provides living quarters,a place for the adults to learn to look for jobs, to learn budgeting and financial management and other life skills. The partnerships with churches and social services allows FPO to provide services at about one third the cost of traditional shelters.
