Family & Circle Information: When you create or join a family group (a "Circle"), we collect the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of the family members you invite.

Location and Movement Data: With your explicit consent, we collect precise geolocation data (GPS coordinates, latitude/longitude) through your mobile device. To provide real-time updates to your family members, we may collect this location data in the background even when the App is closed or not in use.
Driving and Motion Activity: We may collect data regarding your speed, altitude, heading, and motion state (e.g., driving, walking, cycling) using your device's sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS) to provide driving safety reports and crash detection features.
Device Information: We collect technical data, including device model, operating system, IP address, battery status, and Wi-Fi connection status, to ensure the App functions correctly.

To Provide Core Services: To display your real-time location to authorized family members within your specific Circle.

With Your Family Members (Circles): Your location, battery status, driving events, and check-ins are shared only with the specific people you have authorized by joining a shared Family Circle.

You have full control over your data within the Family Maps app:
Location Sharing: You can pause or stop sharing your location at any time through the App's settings or by disabling location permissions in your device's operating system settings.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account entirely through the App settings. Upon deletion, your historical location data will be permanently purged from our active servers.
Leaving a Circle: You may leave a family group at any time, which immediately revokes that group's access to your real-time location.
Family Maps takes the privacy of children very seriously. If a user is under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction), we require verifiable parental consent before the child can create an account and share their location. Parents or guardians can review, modify, or request the deletion of their child's personal data at any time by contacting us.
We implement industry-standard encryption, firewalls, and secure server hosting to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. We retain your location history only for as long as necessary to provide the Services (e.g., 30 days of location history for premium users) or as required by law.
