I consider myself a family historian rather than a novice genealogist. The genealogy links and material on my blog are solely for personal, educational, and general purposes. To the best of my knowledge, the information on my site is true, although there may be omissions, errors, or mistakes. The information is not meant to be a replacement for genealogical research. My father first piqued my interest in genealogy by interviewing my grandma about her family in the old age home where she lived before her death.
My dad handed me a vast collection of photographs, documents, negatives, and souvenirs that my grandma had maintained, along with her amazing memory. He kept meticulous notes which I copied.
Ek sien myself as ‘n familiehistorikus eerder as ‘n Amateur genealoog. Die Genealogieskakels en inligting wat ek in my blog deel, is slegs vir persoonlike, opvoedkundige en algemene inligting. Enige inligting wat ek op my blog verskaf is akkuraat en waar na die beste van my wete, maar daar kan weglatings of foute wees.Die inligting is nie bedoel om ‘n plaasvervanger vir genealogiese navorsing te wees nie. Ek vra om verskoning vir enige gebreekte skakels en foute en ek sal dit waardeer om daaroor in kennis gestel te word. Gebruik die terugknoppie om weer na die bladsy terug te keer.
My belangstelling in Genealogie het begin met my Pa, wat onderhoude met my ouma in die ouetehuis oor haar familie gevoer het, voordat sy oorlede is. My ouma het ‘n ongelooflike geheue gehad en het baie fotos, dokumente, negatiewe en aandenkings bewaar wat my Pa vir my gegee het. Hy het noukeurige notas gehou wat ek gekopieer het.
