PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Fajr Pulse is operated by [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME] (“Fajr Pulse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how Fajr Pulse collects, uses, processes, shares, and protects information when you use the Fajr Pulse mobile application.
By using Fajr Pulse, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE PROCESS
A. Location Information
Fajr Pulse may request access to your location in order to calculate accurate prayer times and determine the appropriate prayer schedule for your area.
Location access is requested only with your permission through iOS.
Location information used for prayer-time calculation is not included in AI Camera Wake-Up Challenge verification requests.
Fajr Pulse does not use your location for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can disable location access at any time through iOS Settings. Disabling location access may prevent automatic prayer-time calculation based on your current location.
B. Camera and Fajr Wake-Up Challenge Images
The optional Premium Fajr Camera Wake-Up Challenge may request access to your device camera.
During the challenge, you may take a photograph of a sink, washbasin, or water area so that Fajr Pulse can verify completion of the wake-up challenge.
Camera access is requested only when this feature requires it.
The captured image is compressed to JPEG before transmission. The current application image-processing flow does not intentionally preserve EXIF metadata when preparing the verification image.
For AI verification, the image is transmitted securely using HTTPS through the following processing flow:
Fajr Pulse → Cloudflare infrastructure → Google Gemini API.
The image is submitted only to determine whether the photograph satisfies the Wake-Up Challenge.
The current Fajr Pulse backend implementation does not intentionally store challenge images or log image content after processing.
Fajr Pulse uses a Gemini API project associated with active Cloud Billing. Under the applicable Gemini API Paid Services terms, Google states that prompts, associated files such as images, and generated responses are not used to improve Google products.
Google may still process and retain limited information where necessary for service operation, security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and other purposes described in its applicable service terms and data-processing documentation.
Users should avoid submitting sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in challenge photographs.
Do not submit photographs containing:
• identification documents;
• financial information;
• medical information;
• confidential documents;
• children;
• other people;
• private or sensitive information unrelated to the Wake-Up Challenge.
Fajr Pulse does not use Wake-Up Challenge images for advertising, facial recognition, identity verification, biometric profiling, or cross-app tracking.
C. Prayer Activity and App Preferences
Fajr Pulse may store information locally on your device, including:
• prayer completion status;
• alarm and reminder settings;
• selected prayer calculation method;
• Wake-Up Challenge settings;
• Safe Backup settings;
• app language;
• onboarding preferences;
• prayer history;
• progress and consistency information.
This information is used to provide application functionality and is primarily stored locally on your device.
Safe Backup is a Wake-Up Challenge completion mechanism. It is not a cloud backup service for personal files or prayer data.
D. Installation Identifier and AI Usage Limits
Fajr Pulse uses an installation-specific identifier to enforce AI verification usage limits and help prevent misuse of the AI verification service.
The identifier is transmitted to the Fajr Pulse Cloudflare backend.
The backend uses a hashed representation of the installation identifier for rate-limiting purposes.
This identifier is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
E. Subscription and Purchase Information
Fajr Pulse uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to manage Premium subscriptions, subscription status, purchases, entitlements, and Restore Purchases.
Apple and RevenueCat may process information such as:
• subscription product;
• subscription status;
• purchase date;
• renewal or expiration information;
• transaction identifiers;
• anonymous or application-specific identifiers;
• App Store storefront or country information;
• technical information required to validate purchases and Premium access.
Fajr Pulse does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.
Payments are processed by Apple according to Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
F. Notifications and Alarms
If you grant permission, Fajr Pulse may schedule notifications and alarms for prayer reminders and wake-up functionality.
Notification and alarm permissions are used for these application features and are not used for advertising.
You can control notification permissions through Fajr Pulse and iOS Settings.
G. Technical Information
Fajr Pulse and the service providers used by the application may process limited technical information necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain their services.
Depending on the service, this may include:
• application version;
• operating-system or device-related technical information;
• network-request information;
• service errors;
• subscription-validation information;
• technical information processed by Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, or Google while providing their respective services.
Fajr Pulse does not currently operate its own advertising analytics or cross-app advertising tracking system.

RevenueCat
RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status, purchase validation, Premium entitlements, and Restore Purchases.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare provides infrastructure used by Fajr Pulse to securely receive, route, rate-limit, and process AI Wake-Up Challenge verification requests.
Google Gemini
Google Gemini is used to analyze images submitted through the optional AI Camera Wake-Up Challenge.

Information processed by third-party providers remains subject to their applicable privacy policies, service terms, security requirements, and data-processing practices.
Fajr Pulse aims to transmit only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.
4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SERVICES
The Camera Wake-Up Challenge uses artificial intelligence to determine whether an image appears to show the requested sink, washbasin, or water-area context.
AI verification may be inaccurate.
The AI verification result is used only as part of the Wake-Up Challenge functionality.
The AI Camera Wake-Up Challenge is restricted to users who satisfy the applicable age requirements for the Gemini API service.
Fajr Pulse does not send a user’s date of birth to Google Gemini.
Users should not submit sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in challenge photographs.
5. ADVERTISING AND TRACKING
Fajr Pulse does not currently display third-party advertising.
Fajr Pulse does not currently use information collected through the application to track users across applications or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
Fajr Pulse does not currently request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
If these practices change in the future, Fajr Pulse will update this Privacy Policy and its App Store privacy disclosures and obtain any permissions required by Apple policies or applicable law.
6. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
Application preferences stored locally remain on your device until they are changed, reset, erased, or the application and its local data are deleted.
The current Fajr Pulse Cloudflare backend does not intentionally retain Wake-Up Challenge images after processing the verification request.
Information processed by third-party providers, including Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and Cloudflare, may be retained according to their applicable service terms, privacy policies, security requirements, and legal obligations.
Subscription and transaction information may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for purposes including purchase validation, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service operation.
7. DATA SECURITY
Fajr Pulse uses reasonable technical safeguards intended to protect information.
AI verification requests are transmitted from the application to the Fajr Pulse backend using HTTPS.
The Gemini API secret key is not embedded in the Fajr Pulse iOS application. Gemini requests are made through backend infrastructure.
