How FAFO Follows the Official DayZ Rules
FAFO is committed to operating openly, fairly and in accordance with the Bohemia Interactive DayZ Server Monetisation Rules.
This page explains the official policy in plain language and describes how it applies to the FAFO server and our planned supporter options.
This is a community-written summary. Bohemia Interactive’s official rules and decisions always take priority.
FAFO Approval Status
FAFO is currently seeking approval under the Bohemia Interactive DayZ Server Monetisation Programme.
Until FAFO has been approved and appears on Bohemia Interactive’s official list of approved DayZ server monetisers:
Paid cosmetic packages will remain unavailable.
No supporter purchase will provide an in-game item or cosmetic.
The planned packages may be displayed publicly for transparency and application review.
Checkout and delivery of monetised benefits will remain disabled.
Approval will not be claimed until Bohemia Interactive has officially granted it.
A voluntary donation is a financial gift where the person receives nothing in return.
If somebody receives a reward, item, role, service or other benefit in exchange for money, Bohemia considers that monetisation rather than a donation.
Examples include:
A cosmetic item.
A custom texture.
A supporter badge or role.
Reserved access.
Any other reward connected to a payment.
Because FAFO provides permanent Discord Supporter recognition in return for a pay-what-you-choose contribution, it is treated as a monetised supporter option and will be included in our application.
Subject to approval and the full official rules, Bohemia permits approved private DayZ servers to offer:
Cosmetic clothing and item textures.
Gameplay-neutral supporter perks.
Website, forum or community badges.
Product placement and sponsorship.
In-game advertising.
Paid server access where it does not create a gameplay advantage.
In-game items that do not affect gameplay.
The central requirement is that money must not provide a gameplay advantage over other players.
Gameplay-affecting purchases will not be approved.
FAFO will never sell:
Weapons.
Ammunition.
In-game currency.
Vehicles or vehicle spawns.
Bases, houses or land.
Additional storage capacity.
Trader discounts.
Reduced item prices.
Better loot or event rewards.
Increased health or stamina.
Improved armour or protection.
Improved insulation.
Increased carrying capacity.
Exclusive access to gameplay systems.
Faster progression.
Priority access to loot or events.
Administrative influence.
Protection from server rules.
Any other pay-to-win advantage.
Players cannot purchase power, progression or preferential treatment on FAFO.
FAFO’s planned monetised offerings are limited to community recognition and cosmetic retextures.
Supporters may contribute an amount of their choosing and receive a permanent cosmetic Discord Supporter role.
The role provides:
No in-game items.
No gameplay benefits.
No server-rule exemptions.
No administrative authority.
No preferential treatment.
Although the contribution has no fixed price, the role is something received in return. FAFO therefore treats it as monetisation and will not misrepresent it as a reward-free donation.
The planned £15 custom T-shirt package provides one personalised cosmetic texture.
The item will use the standard statistics of its publicly available base version. It will not provide improved protection, insulation, storage or any other advantage.
The planned £20 custom hoodie package provides one personalised cosmetic texture.
The item will use the standard statistics of its publicly available base version. It will not provide improved protection, insulation, storage or any other advantage.
The planned £70 custom gear package provides coordinated cosmetic textures for up to five approved wearable items.
Every retextured item will retain the normal statistics of its publicly available base version.
Purchasing a custom set will not provide:
Increased storage.
Improved armour.
Improved insulation.
Reduced item weight.
Increased stamina.
Free weapons or ammunition.
Unlimited item spawning.
Automatic replacement of lost items.
Any other gameplay advantage.
Custom cosmetic items must be obtained through the normal FAFO server system explained before purchase.
FAFO’s gameplay is not restricted to paying supporters.
Non-paying players retain access to the same:
Server features.
Quests.
Traders.
Events.
Locations.
AI encounters.
Progression systems.
Loot opportunities.
Community support.
Server rules and appeals process.
Supporters and non-supporters are treated equally by the FAFO administration team.
Bohemia requires monetised servers to have the proper permission of mod authors.
FAFO will:
Review the licence and permissions for every mod used.
Request written monetisation permission where required.
Keep evidence of permissions and commercial licences.
Credit mod authors appropriately.
Respond promptly to legitimate concerns from creators.
Remove content from monetised use if the required permission cannot be confirmed.
Mod authors can contact FAFO at:
Email: ctrmods@gmail.com
Discord: discord.gg/fafodayz
FAFO will publicly display:
Every monetised package.
The exact price.
Whether the payment is one-time or recurring.
Exactly what the purchaser receives.
Any limits or duration attached to the benefit.
How cosmetic items are delivered.
The refund and cancellation terms.
FAFO’s current Bohemia approval status.
No hidden benefits or private pay-to-win packages will be offered.
If a package changes, the public description will be updated before the revised offering is made available.
Bohemia Interactive may review approved servers and remove monetisation permission where a server breaks the rules, exploits loopholes or acts against the interests of the DayZ community.
If FAFO’s approval expires, is suspended or is withdrawn:
New monetised sales will stop immediately.
The website’s approval status will be updated.
Checkout for affected packages will be disabled.
FAFO will follow any instructions issued by Bohemia Interactive.
Bohemia’s current server-monetisation permission period runs until 31 January 2027.
If you believe that a FAFO offering breaches Bohemia’s rules, provides a gameplay advantage or uses a mod without permission, contact us:

All legitimate concerns will be reviewed seriously.
