This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Facial Recognition Runner ("the Application") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users. This privacy policy applies to the Application and all products and services offered by the developer.
To provide the core functionality of the Application (facial profiling and landmark identification), we require access to specific hardware and features on your device.
Camera Access: The Application requires explicit permission to use your device's front-facing camera. The camera is used solely to capture real-time frames when you actively initiate a biometric analysis run or register a face profile.
Image Processing Data: When a photo is taken, the temporary image file is processed to extract facial landmarks. This data is handled in two ways:
Cloud Processing: The temporary image framework is transmitted securely via HTTPS to the Google Cloud Vision API to identify facial feature coordinates (e.g., nose tip, eye positions).
Local Processing: The Application uses these coordinates locally to calculate structural relative distances to generate your custom or baseline analysis results.
We value your privacy and do not harvest or store your private biological identities or media files.
No Image Storage: Temporary photos captured by the camera are used instantly for landmark calculation and are not saved to your permanent device storage, nor are they sent to any private developer servers.
Local Profiles Configuration: Any identity labels (names) and calculated structural metrics you create inside the Admin Panel are saved strictly on your local device using secure local asynchronous storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and can be purged at any time by deleting the profile inside the app.
The Application utilizes the Google Cloud Vision API to process facial landmarks. This processing is subject to Google's standard privacy practices. We do not share any personal identifier information, names, or location data with Google or any other third parties.
The Application does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us immediately.
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Users are encouraged to frequently check this page for any changes.
