At FaceShield AI, your privacy is our first priority. We built this application with a strict "on-device first" philosophy to ensure that your sensitive videos and personal data remain entirely in your control.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the FaceShield AI mobile application ("the App").
The core functionality of FaceShield AI (detecting faces, blurring, pixelating, and adding emojis to videos) is performed entirely locally on your device.
We do not upload your videos, photos, or facial recognition data to our servers.
We do not have access to the media you process through the App.
All AI face detection is powered by on-device machine learning models.
To provide our services, the App requests specific device permissions:
Storage / Photo Library Access: We require this permission strictly to allow you to select a video for editing and to save the processed, privacy-protected video back to your device's gallery. We do not copy, read, or transmit any files outside of the App.
To keep FaceShield AI free to use, we use third-party advertising services, specifically Google AdMob, to display Rewarded Video Ads.
Google AdMob: Google may collect non-personal data (such as device identifiers, IP addresses, and generalized location data) to serve relevant advertisements. AdMob operates under its own Privacy Policy, which you can review at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not share any of your videos, photos, or facial data with Google AdMob or any other advertising partners.
We may collect anonymized, non-personal data (such as app crash logs and basic usage statistics) to help us identify bugs and improve the performance of FaceShield AI. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us.
