This Privacy Policy explains how SimplePoster – Facebook Group Auto Poster & Scheduler (“SimplePoster,” “the extension,” or “I”) collects, accesses, processes, stores, uses, and shares information when you use the SimplePoster Chrome extension and its related licensing and subscription services.

SimplePoster helps users prepare, schedule, and publish user-created posts and media to Facebook groups selected by the user.
Depending on the features selected by the user, the extension may work with:
Facebook group pages open in browser tabs;
Facebook group URLs stored in a user-selected bookmarks folder;
post text, titles, headers, links, images, and videos selected by the user;
templates, schedules, recurring schedules, delays, and posting preferences;
optional AI-assisted text-generation features;
licensing, free-trial activation, subscription management, and email verification.
The extension accesses and processes information only as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and measure the performance of these disclosed features.
The following information may be transmitted to and processed by SimplePoster’s backend services.
Your email address may be collected when you:
activate a free trial;
verify your email address;
purchase or manage a subscription;
receive or recover a license key;
contact support.
The email address is used for account verification, trial activation, licensing, subscription administration, transactional emails, fraud prevention, and support.
This may include:
license key;
license status;
activation status;
activated device identifier;
trial start and end dates;
subscription entitlement information;
signed licensing or authentication tokens.
This information is used to activate, verify, manage, and protect paid licenses and free trials.
The extension may generate a local device identifier and transmit it to the backend to associate a device with a trial or license.
The device identifier is not used for advertising.
For fraud prevention and free-trial abuse prevention, the extension may generate a derived, hashed identifier based on limited browser or device characteristics, such as:
user agent;
browser language;
hardware concurrency;
screen information;
operating-system or platform information;
time zone.
The backend receives the derived hash rather than a plain-text copy of the individual characteristics used to generate it.
This identifier is used only for licensing security, fraud detection, abuse prevention, and enforcement of trial or device limits. It is not used for advertising or unrelated user profiling.
When the extension communicates with the backend, the server and infrastructure providers may process:
IP address;
request time;
request type;
basic device or browser request information;
security and rate-limiting information.
This information is used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, service reliability, and rate limiting.
Subscription-related information may include:
Stripe customer ID;
Stripe subscription ID;
subscription status;
purchased plan;
billing period;
trial end date;
renewal, cancellation, or payment status.
Payment-card details are processed by Stripe. SimplePoster does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
When email verification is required, SimplePoster may process:
email address;
one-time verification-code hash;
verification-code expiration time;
verification status;
limited request and security metadata.
SimplePoster may collect limited pseudonymous usage and operational analytics, including:
free-trial activation;
whether a campaign was started or completed;
number of groups included in a campaign;
successful and unsuccessful posting counts;
feature usage;
upgrade-prompt interactions;
extension version;
technical error or reliability information.
These analytics do not include:
Facebook passwords;
Facebook messages;
post text;
selected images or videos;
Facebook group names;
Facebook group URLs;
bookmark contents;
general browsing history;
the contents of pages unrelated to SimplePoster’s disclosed functionality.
Analytics may be associated with a one-way hashed or pseudonymous device identifier. They are used only to maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the extension and to understand trial and subscription performance.
They are not used for personalized advertising.
The following information may be accessed or stored locally using Chrome extension storage or other local browser storage:
post text;
optional post titles and headers;
links included in posts;
images and videos selected for posting;
post templates and manually created variations;
posting schedules and recurring schedules;
delay, pause, and campaign settings;
bookmark-folder selection;
selected Facebook group URLs;
current campaign status and progress;
post counters and content-reuse information;
theme and interface preferences;
locally generated device ID;
license status and locally stored licensing tokens;
optional third-party API credentials entered by the user.
This information is used to operate the extension and provide the features selected by the user.
Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy or clearly disclosed in the extension before transmission, locally processed post content, media, Facebook group URLs, bookmark information, templates, and schedules are not uploaded to the SimplePoster backend.
SimplePoster may access:
Facebook group pages that the user has opened;
URLs from a bookmark folder specifically selected by the user;
page elements required to prepare or publish the user’s post;
posting results and visible error messages required to show campaign progress.
This access is limited to providing the extension’s disclosed Facebook group-posting functionality.
SimplePoster does not collect or use the user’s general browsing history. It does not monitor pages unrelated to the features initiated by the user.
Facebook tab URLs, bookmark URLs, group names, and page content are not included in SimplePoster analytics and are not sent to the SimplePoster backend unless a separate feature clearly explains that such transmission is required and the user affirmatively enables or uses that feature.
The extension does not request or store the user’s Facebook password. It operates through Facebook pages on which the user is already signed in.
Post text, links, titles, headers, images, and videos selected by the user are accessed to prepare and publish posts at the user’s direction.
By default:
post content and media are processed locally;
content is transmitted to Facebook only when the user starts or schedules a posting operation;
post content and media are not uploaded to the SimplePoster backend;
post content and media are not included in analytics;
post content and media are not used for advertising or unrelated profiling.
Post content may also be included in a support email if the user voluntarily provides it when requesting assistance.
SimplePoster may offer optional features that use OpenAI to generate, rewrite, or vary text.
When the user actively uses an AI-assisted feature:
the text selected or entered for processing may be transmitted to OpenAI;
instructions required to perform the requested generation may be transmitted with the text;
an OpenAI API credential entered by the user may be transmitted to OpenAI to authenticate the request;
OpenAI may process the request in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
SimplePoster does not send post text to OpenAI merely because the extension is installed or running. Transmission occurs only when the user actively requests an AI-assisted operation.
Unless clearly disclosed before use, images, videos, Facebook credentials, Facebook group URLs, and unrelated browsing information are not sent to OpenAI.
Where an OpenAI API key is provided by the user, it is stored locally and is not intentionally transmitted to the SimplePoster backend.
Information is used only for the following purposes:
providing the extension’s core functionality;
preparing, scheduling, and publishing posts at the user’s direction;
saving the user’s local settings, templates, schedules, and preferences;
activating and verifying licenses;
providing and protecting free trials;
verifying email addresses;
sending transactional emails and license information;
administering subscriptions and billing;
preventing fraud, spam, trial abuse, and unauthorized license use;
maintaining security and service integrity;
applying rate limits;
diagnosing technical errors;
measuring the reliability and performance of disclosed features;
improving the extension;
responding to support and privacy requests;
complying with applicable legal obligations.
Information is not used for unrelated purposes.
I do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Information may be processed or shared with the following service providers only where necessary to provide, maintain, secure, or support SimplePoster.
Supabase provides backend database, authentication, security, and infrastructure services.
Depending on the feature used, Supabase may process:
email address;
license and activation records;
device identifiers and fingerprint hashes;
subscription metadata;
verification records;
pseudonymous analytics;
security and rate-limiting records.
Stripe processes payments and subscription billing.
Stripe may process:
customer contact information;
payment information;
billing details;
subscription status;
payment, renewal, refund, and cancellation information.
SimplePoster may receive identifiers and subscription-status information from Stripe but does not receive full payment-card details.
A transactional email provider may process:
email address;
verification codes;
license information;
trial or subscription messages;
transactional email delivery metadata.
This data is used only to deliver emails requested or required as part of the extension’s licensing, verification, subscription, or support functions.
When the user directs SimplePoster to publish a post, the selected post content and media are transmitted to Facebook through the Facebook page used by the user.
Facebook processes that information under its own terms and privacy practices.
When the user actively uses an optional AI-assisted feature, selected text and the instructions required to perform the request may be transmitted to OpenAI.
OpenAI receives no SimplePoster analytics, Facebook credentials, or unrelated browsing information from SimplePoster.
The extension or backend may retrieve a disposable-email-domain blocklist hosted through GitHub Raw Content for free-trial abuse prevention.
SimplePoster does not intentionally send the user’s email address, post content, Facebook group information, or license key to GitHub for this purpose.
GitHub may receive standard network-request metadata generated when the blocklist is retrieved, such as an IP address, user agent, and request time.
Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary:
to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations;
to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the developer, or the public;
as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to any consent required by applicable policy or law.
Humans are not permitted to read user data except where:
the user provides explicit consent for support or troubleshooting involving specific data;
access is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident;
access is required to comply with applicable law;
the information has been aggregated and anonymized and is used for internal operations, reliability measurement, or reporting.
Post content, media, Facebook URLs, and bookmark information are not routinely reviewed by the developer or other humans.
User data is not:
sold to third parties;
transferred to data brokers;
used for personalized, interest-based, or retargeted advertising;
used to create advertising profiles;
used to determine creditworthiness;
used for lending decisions;
used for purposes unrelated to SimplePoster’s disclosed functionality;
used to monitor general browsing activity;
transferred to third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted by applicable law and Chrome Web Store policies.
Information stored locally remains on the user’s device until:
the user removes it through the extension;
the user clears the extension’s storage;
the extension removes it as part of its normal operation;
the extension is uninstalled.
Some browser-managed storage may persist according to the browser’s own storage and synchronization settings.
Licensing, subscription, activation, and customer records are retained while necessary to:
provide an active license or subscription;
verify prior purchases;
process renewals, cancellations, or refunds;
resolve disputes;
prevent fraud and repeated trial abuse;
meet accounting, tax, contractual, and legal obligations.
One-time verification codes expire after a limited period. Verification and security records may be retained temporarily to prevent abuse and investigate failed or suspicious verification attempts.
Pseudonymous analytics and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain, secure, measure, and improve the extension or to investigate abuse.
When a valid deletion request is received, applicable backend personal data will be deleted or anonymized unless continued retention is required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information, including:
encrypted HTTPS connections;
access controls;
signed or time-limited tokens;
rate limiting;
password and credential hashing where applicable;
restricted backend access;
separation of analytics from licensing and billing information where reasonably possible.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Users should not share license keys, verification codes, payment information, or third-party API credentials with unauthorized persons.
Users may:
choose whether to activate a free trial;
choose whether to purchase a subscription;
choose which Facebook tabs, groups, bookmarks, content, and media to use;
choose whether to use optional AI-assisted features;
remove locally stored templates, schedules, and settings;
clear extension storage;
deactivate a license where supported;
uninstall the extension;
request access to, correction of, or deletion of applicable backend personal data;
object to or request restriction of certain processing where provided by applicable law;
withdraw consent for optional processing.

Additional information may be requested to verify that the requester is authorized to access or delete the relevant records.
SimplePoster’s use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User data is used only to provide or improve SimplePoster’s disclosed single purpose and related operational functions, such as maintaining, securing, troubleshooting, and measuring the performance and reliability of those features.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
SimplePoster is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me so that the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Information may be processed in countries where SimplePoster’s service providers operate.
Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect:
changes to the extension;
new or modified features;
changes to service providers;
security improvements;
legal or policy requirements.
The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated when material changes are made.
Where required, material changes to data practices will also be disclosed within the extension and may require affirmative user consent before the new processing begins.
