Description:
The Black Cat Cougar Pro Digital Cutter uses a small blade moving at high speed (up to 600 mm per second) with great accuracy to mechanically cut directly to a finished material. The speed and depth of the blade can be adjusted, as well as the number of passes required to complete the cut (for thicker materials). This equipment can also be loaded with engraving, embossing, or plotting tools for marking material.
Uses:
The Digital Cutter Plotter can be used to cut stencils, sequins, stickers, heat transfer vinyl, models, cards, labels and more. The plotter pen can be used with permanent laundry markers to perfectly repeat a drawn design.
Materials
Size
Maximum material size is 1220mm x 550mm.
Cutting
Vinyl, stencil vinyl, paper, cardstock, vellum/parchment, glitter card, non shedding fabric, felt, foam sheet, metal foils, balsa wood sheet, chipboard, mountboard, double sided adhesive, leather, acetate, shrink plastic, glue film ... and many more. Cricut have an excellent range of materials sold through Spotlight.
When bringing vinyl to the FabShop for cutting lettering and other decals where the relative positioning of elements is important, consider how you will transfer the cut vinyl will be transferred from the backing paper to the position where it will be displayed. The use of transfer tape (sometimes called application tape) is recommended.
Engraving
Glass - toughened, metal, Perspex, acetate.
Embossing
Paper, vellum, cardstock, leather.
FILE TYPE
Vector SVG can be saved directly from Adobe Illustrator. Make sure any fonts are outlined before saving to SVG format.
