Fabiana De Cristofaro

I'm a Research Officer at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. 

My job is mainly about engagement in institutional activities on tax gap estimate and analysis, involvement in the building and maintenance of Computable General Equilibrium models realised under TSI projects in cooperation with the European Commission, World Bank, ECOMOD and DREAM, forecasting of tax revenues (Managerial Position), maintenance and management of TAXBEN-DF and VATSIM-DF microsimulation models (Managerial Position), estimation of partial equilibrium models on firm dynamics.

My previous work experience was at the European Central Bank, Prices and Costs Division.

I earned my Ph.D cum laude in Economics from Sant'Anna School for Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy.

My research interests lie in political economy, economic policy, comparative economic theory and applied econometrics. My research focuses on examining alternative policy recipes on the empirical ground, at the final scope of comparing economic theoretical paradigms. My latest works fulfil this purpose looking at labour market policies, fiscal policies and policies related to the international movements of capital and people.
