ABOUT THE ARTIST | BEHIND THE GLASS

 Thaddaeus Watkins is a photographer, communications specialist, and hospitality professional from Fort Myers, Florida. He is a two-time graduate of Florida A&M University and has earned a master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from the University of Central Florida. As the founder of Distinct Images, LLC, Watkins uses photography to empower through visual storytelling, support Black-owned and minority businesses, champion underserved communities, foster inclusivity, and leave a lasting impact. His work highlights culture, identity, and connection while serving as a tool for visibility and representation. Beyond photography, Watkins is the corporate communications representative at Visit Orlando and works in hospitality at Marriott’s Cypress Harbour, where he was recognized as Associate of the Year. He was also featured by the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association in the Golden Pineapple Awards for his contributions to community service locally and statewide.
