Hi! Welcome to my research webpage. I'm a research seismologist at the Alaska Earthquake Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

I grew up in Ankara, Turkey, where I completed my undergrad and master's in geological engineering at the Middle East Technical University. Then, I moved to Golden, Colorado, for grad school at the Colorado School of Mines. My journey in research continued with a master's thesis on Mars tectonics (yes, Mars!), but I soon returned my focus to Earth, earning a PhD on seismotectonics in Iran and Turkey.

Post-PhD, I joined the Alaska Earthquake Center, where I've been immersed in the fascinating world of landslide seismology and monitoring in Alaska.
