We process limited data under the following legal bases:
Location Data: Processed based on user consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Notifications & Timed Reminders: Processed based on user consent and app functionality (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Prayer Time Requests: Processed based on legitimate interest and service functionality (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
You may withdraw your consent at any time by disabling location and notification permissions in your device settings.
The App is designed to operate with minimal data collection.
📍 Location Data
Used to detect your current location/city for accurate prayer time calculations and Qibla direction.
Location data is processed in real-time.
We do not store location data on our servers.
A temporary location request is sent to a third-party service (Aladhan API) solely for prayer time calculation.
🔔 Notifications and Alarms (Local Reminders)
Used exclusively to schedule and trigger prayer time notifications, Azan alerts, and reminders locally on your device.
All scheduled notifications and alarms are generated and stored locally on your device.
No personal data or notification activity is transmitted to external servers.
🌐 Internet Access
The App connects to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com) to retrieve prayer times.
Only minimal location information (city or coordinates) is transmitted.
No personal identifiers (such as name, device ID, or account data) are transmitted.
💾 Local Storage (On Device Only)
Your settings (city, language, calculation method, theme, notification preferences) are stored locally on your device.
This data never leaves your device and is not shared with any external service.
We do not collect, store, or process:
Names, emails, or phone numbers
Device identifiers or advertising IDs (IDFA/AAID)
Usage analytics or tracking data
Crash reports containing personal data
Social media information
The App uses the following third-party service:
Aladhan API (aladhan.com): Used exclusively to calculate prayer times. Only minimal location data is temporarily transmitted. No personal data is shared or stored by us.
The App requests the following permissions to ensure full functionality:
📍 Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Required for automatic city detection and Qibla calculation.
🌐 Internet (INTERNET): Required to fetch prayer time data from the API.
🔔 Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to display prayer time alerts and notifications on Android 13+.
⏰ Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to trigger prayer time reminders and notifications at precise times without delay.
🔄 System Startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Required to automatically reschedule your saved prayer alarms after your device restarts.
📳 Haptic Feedback (VIBRATE): Required to provide vibration alerts during prayer time notifications.
We do not store or log any location or notification data on remote servers.
All processing occurs in real time or locally on your device.
Local settings and alarm configurations remain on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data.
Since no personal data is stored on our servers:
There is no risk of server-side data breaches.
All processing is temporary, local, or session-based.
If you are located in the EU/EEA (including Austria), you have the following rights:
Right to access your data
Right to rectification
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
Right to restrict or object to processing
Right to withdraw consent at any time
