2024 12u Section 2 Extra Innings Invitational at Manheim Township
A 12u Section 2 Tournament, Friday, June 21st - Sunday, June 23rd 2024

Field Locations: All games will be played at the Overlook Park Baseball Fields #1 and #2, Home of the Manheim Township 12u Section 1 & 2 teams. Overlook Park Address: 2040 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601
Format: 8,10, maybe 12 teams...An even number. (the more the merrier!) Teams will play 2 seeding games, followed by a single elimination tournament. Semi-final teams that lose will play a 3rd place game. Some seeding games may be scheduled for that Friday and will depend on the number of teams involved.
Rules: All games will be governed by LCYBL 12u Section 2 rules except for pitch count. Coaches are in charge of managing pitch counts responsibly.
After seeding games have been completed, teams will be re-seeded from #1 to #8, #10, or #12, based on wins and run differential from those seeding games. The tiebreaker will be the LCYBL regular season end-of-season rank.
The two ‘seeding games’ will not start a new inning after 1 hour and 45 minutes of game time. Single-elimination tournament games will not start a new inning after 2 hours of game time. Semi-finals and Finals will not have time limits.
Teams should report to their game field 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. No pre-game infield practice is allowed and no batting cage use. Warmups for games will take place in the outfield on either field. Games will start earlier whenever possible.
Cost: $350 per team. Payment can be arranged via check or Venmo, your choice at registration.
Rosters: If possible, please upload your team roster upon registration (PDF, Excel, Word only) that includes the birth date and jersey number for all players. If you do not, it is an expectation a roster of your players will be shared with the tournament director by June 7th.
Insurance: Each team is responsible for its own medical and liability insurance coverage. MTBSA and the tournament leaders do not assume any responsibility for injuries or damage to or by players, coaches, spectators, etc., or their equipment or property. Dogs are permitted in Overlook Park and must be on a leash at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets and dispose of waste properly and are liable for any injuries their pets may cause.
Schedule: Once all teams are registered and confirmed for the tournament, a schedule will be shared with the entire tournament community by June 17th at the latest.
Awards: Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
Concessions: There will be concession tent(s) each day of the tournament at Overlook Park
