PRIVACY POLICY & DATA PROTECTION GUARANTEE
WordBomb.io Mod Menu & Auto Solver Chrome Extension
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
1. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY
Your privacy is our top priority. The WordBomb.io Mod Menu extension is built with a local-first architecture. We do NOT collect, track, transmit, sell, or share any personal identifiable information (PII), browsing habits, IP addresses, or gameplay activity.
2. WHY PERMISSIONS ARE REQUESTED & NEEDED
We believe in 100% transparency. Here is a clear breakdown of why each specific permission is requested by this extension:
a) Storage Permission ("storage")
• Purpose: Saves your preferred settings (e.g., dictionary language, typing speed sliders, min/max word length filters) and session statistics locally on your device.
• Why it is necessary: Without this permission, you would have to manually reconfigure your settings every time you open a new tab or restart Chrome. All stored data remains strictly inside your browser's `chrome.storage.local`.
b) WordBomb.io Host Permission ("https://wordbomb.io/*")
• Purpose: Allows the extension's content script to run exclusively on WordBomb.io game pages.
• Why it is necessary: This enables the extension to read the current turn prompt (syllables), show the live game overlay, and simulate keystroke entries when you activate the Auto Solver. The extension cannot and does not read any data outside of wordbomb.io.
c) Raw Wordlist Host Permissions ("https://raw.githubusercontent.com/*" and "https://gist.githubusercontent.com/*")
• Purpose: Enables fetching public plain-text dictionary wordlists for supported languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian) and custom GitHub raw wordlist URLs entered by the user.
• Why it is necessary: Wordlists are loaded as raw text data so the Auto Solver can find matching words. No personal information or headers are attached to these network requests.
3. ARE ALL THESE PERMISSIONS REALLY NECESSARY?
YES. Every permission requested in `manifest.json` is strictly minimal and essential for the extension's core features to work:
• We DO NOT request broad website access (`<all_urls>`).
• We DO NOT request browser tab history (`tabs`), web requests (`webRequest`), cookies (`cookies`), or identity (`identity`).
• The extension strictly adheres to Google Chrome Web Store's Principle of Least Privilege.
4. DATA STORAGE & USER CONTROL
All application state, user preferences, and saved stats are stored locally in your browser. You retain 100% control over your data:
• You can clear your session stats and used word list at any time via the extension popup dashboard.
• You can reset all extension data to factory defaults using the "Reset All Settings" button in the popup.
• Uninstalling the extension automatically removes all associated local storage files.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & ANALYTICS
WordBomb.io Mod Menu does NOT integrate third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel), advertising networks, or external tracking scripts.
6. CONTACT & SUPPORT
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this privacy policy or the technical implementation of WordBomb.io Mod Menu, please reach out through the official support tab on the Chrome Web Store extension page.
