- Licensing Verification: The Extension connects to myexthub.com to check trial and subscription status. No chat contents or personal conversation details are sent during license validation.
2. Comprehensive Permissions Breakdown
To deliver its features, the Extension requests the following browser permissions:
- "storage":
Used to save your local extension settings (such as export format preferences) and track trial usage locally on your device.
- "cookies":
Used exclusively to check authentication and subscription state on myexthub.com to manage Pro features and prevent trial resets.
- "downloads":
Used to trigger Chrome's download manager, enabling you to save exported chat files (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, and TXT) directly to your local device.
- "identity":
Used to securely authenticate your Google Account via official Google OAuth2. This grants the Extension permission to upload exported documents to your Google Drive and create Google Docs without storing your Google account credentials.
