sams issue, I have an LG burner and their support group told me to download burn, I thought it may work but when I hit burn DVD it only gives me an option to burn an image. I've been up all night and it's getting very frustrating. Any answers here would be appreciated. I successfully added the video. Is the green bar at the bottom supposed to be all the way over?

I first bought Express burn in December 2019. I was able to burn videos twice with good results. Now I just get "Error with write address Sense Data 05 21 02" and verifying is completely stuck. I save as ISO from Videopad and select ISO Image file or Express burner. However when I get into Write ISO file should I chose, from the drop down list Image file or D/HL-DT-ST.HL etc.? When I chose Image file it just sends me back to the folder to save it and burn doesn't show. When I chose the other [D/ HD etc ] it fails to work. What am I doing wrong? I have wasted 4 DVDs trying. I use Windows 10. The C drive where the program is located is almost full but my other drive has lots of room. I can find no video tutorial to help me burn a DVD. Please help me in simple language!

My Apple HL-DT-ST DVDRW GX50N Media DVD burner doesn't seem to be finalizing my discs so I can only play them on the burner. But, I just burned 3 DVD's two weeks ago with no issues. Same OS (Big Sur) same disc batch, same port on my 2015 MacBook pro, etc. Can't seem to find any instructions or manual to see if I can check the settings.

Anybody out there have this issue or any ideas. Oh, I've rebooted several times and am about to try burning material I've burned two weeks ago to make sure it's not a source problem. But I need to get into the setting of the burner. Any ideas peoples?

I was able to find nero5582.exe (love those Russian FTP sites), but it immediately wants a serial number saying my demo has expired. I tried setting the system clock back to 1999 but that didn't help. However, it does let me look for which burner I have installed, and it doesn't find it, so I don't think a working serial number will help any.

EDIT: Nero 6 serial works for Nero 5. Unfortunately, my DVD burner is not supported in Nero 5.

With the 20 modern burning apps sampled, I did find 1 (only 1) which works in Windows NT 4.0. It is Cute DVD Burner. I was successful in burning a 3.6 GB DVD. It was a movie image file and I tested it out later by watching it. I used a DVD+RW disc, which seems to insist on burning at 4X only; so about 4-5 MB/s. The CPU usage was way up at 95%. I'm not quite sure how this operation would fare with an IDE DVD burner, certaily worse.

In general, I wouldn't recommend Cute DVD burner unless you are using Windows NT4.0 since it is a bit of a CPU hog. I found Express Burn to be much more CPU sensible when I tested it in W2K. (Note that the W2K version of Express Burn wouldn't install in W2K, but the Win98SE version would.) I could burn the same DVD with only 50% CPU utilisation in W2K and about 75% utilisation in Win98SE. Burning CD audio still didn't work though. This has always been an issue with SCSI burners for me. I think some specific ASPI's work for this, but I forgot how I did it in the past. Unfortunately, Express Burn doesn't install on NT 4.0, but it sure makes for a lightweight FREE burner in Win98SE/W2K.

Actually, the DOS version of Norton Ghost allows one to create backup images of their hardisks directly onto optical medium, such as a DVD burner. This is great for system backups if you don't have a second harddrive in the system. That's one practical answer. There may be more?

I removed the SATA DVD burner from the SATA-to-SCSI bridge converter and connected it on a SATA-to-IDE bridge converter. I then connected the the SATA-to-IDE bridge converter to the motherboard's IDE port (in PIO4 mode) and re-ran the DVD burn test.

Even better, if you want to burn some WAV files to Mp3 (or vice versa) Express Burn does the converting for you automatically when you click burn. It's also a remarkably fast burner although obviously, it's only as fast as your hardware will allow. However, it seems that Express Burn keeps the buffering level cranked up consistently high so disks are finished in double quick time.

In real world testing the setup was simpler than expected. The windshield effectively locks into place on what is essentialy a traditional canister top stove head quickly and simply with the pan itself hosting the heat-exchange fins. The stove head is wide and the three supporting arms are big enough to hold not only the supplied 1 litre pot but a range of sizes up to 15cm in diameter while using the windshield and larger without the windshield attached. The design, mounting the heat-exchange fins un the underside of the pan, means that while you'll get the best results from using the supplied pans you have the option to use standard pans both with and without the windshield.

Ā

Ā Piezo ignition has long been a problem with stoves, it's great when it works but the ignition systems have often been plastic affairs subject to failure. With the 2013 version of the Eta Express you get piezo igintion but rather than a push-and-click mechanism it operates via a metal lever mounted opposite the windshield on the main stove column below the burner head. The same level of thought has been followed with attention to detail on the supplied pan, which comes with coated, folding, handles that massively reduce the heat transfer from pan to handles and prevents burning yourself picking the pan up. The 1 litre pan is quite wide at 14.5cm and has markings at 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 litres to help with measuring and comes with a plastic, semi-transparent, lid which can double up as a drainer/colander with its drain holes. In real world conditions the wide pan can be a major advantage when it comes to cooking with such a high power stove, helping to reduce hot spots and burning.

Ā

Ā The biggest problem with heat-exchange stoves is the pure power and heat they produce and simmering has always been an issue. The Eta Express doesn't use the almost ubiquitous wire adjuster but goes for a more solid, plastic knob capped, mechanism which is easy to grip but is perhaps a little on the short size for easy adjustment while cooking without fear of knocking the windshield. The diameter of the head, support arms and included pan, however, do help offset the long standing burning issue by spreading the heat well.

Ā In terms of fuel efficiency the Eta Express is up there with the jetboil in getting the most from a sngle gas canister. At full power it boils half a litre in an average of 3:01 in real world conditions with a little wind and ambient temperature in the mid teens Celcius - eliminate the wind completely and you can shave up to 20 seconds off this time.

Ā

Ā Overall the Primus Eta Express is an ideal all-in-one solution for one or two people wild camping. It's perhaps not the lightest option but the weight figures are slightly distorted due to including the windshield and pan (along with the additionally included plastic bowl)- the burner itself weighing in at 90g out of the total of 449g. Build quality is everything you'd expect from one of the leading global brands and having the flexibility to use standard pans, although at reduced efficiency, marks the Eta Express out as a serious option for multi purpose use. While the large diameter pan undoubtedly makes the setup very top heavy, and a canister mount as used by Jetboil would help a lot, it's not excessively unbalanced even when full. It will never be a stable as a low profile remote canister stove can be but the wide diameter pans are more balanced than a narrower cylinder style pot and a little attention in positioning the stove is all that's required. 0852c4b9a8
