Does the MuseScore (.mscz) file play correctly in MuseScore (i.e. you can hear the treble staff)?

Yes, it is a piano score, sorry for not clarifying that earlier.

I'm using Musescore 2.0.3

The .mscz file plays correctly anywhere else.

The exported MIDI file is 'unreadable' for my VLC media player, which seems to be able to read other MIDI files.

It's still telling me file format's not supported.

I'm more worried about the FL studio side of things, the VLC was just to test the MIDI.

I might try exporting different portions of my MIDI file individually (make a new score, that has either treble or bass).

Yeah, reckon I've identified that it's now not a Musescore problem, as much as it's an FL problem. My file now is rather large, and I'm having trouble exporting it in other formats too, particularly in .wav - however, that's understandable. That might be a contributing factor.

In the end, I was able to play it through an electric piano that works with MIDI files, and then it converted it into one readable by FL Studio (still a MIDI file.) Maybe Musescore uses different encryption?

I don't know how to word this, really. But is there a way to write a song on the deluge, and then send the midi information to my daw (fl studio 20) so that the same parts are being played as I wrote them, but using vsts and drums in my daw instead of the deluge instruments? I hope that makes sense.

I thought I had seen a post on importing and exporting the midi information but I couldn't find it. The idea being you could use midi tracks created elsewhere in the deluge or take the midi from the deluge and use it elsewhere. If I'm understanding you right then I agree this would be handy but there isn't a way to export it as a file to be used that I'm aware of.

Here is a way you can get the midi information to your daw even without the export feature. I don't use FL so I'm not sure this will translate 100% but the concept should be similar (this is what I do in ableton).

As I said, you can use Guitar Pro to import and export other file formats as well. For one, you can import and export older Guitar Pro files like GP5, or you can export as a PDF, a PNG, or an MP3, depending on what you need.

I'm working on a set of maps and I was wondering how to create custom midi files for it. I already have FL Studio on my computer because making music is a hobby of mine. The tutorials I found online either didn't go into much detail or weren't specifically about making midis. You can only use one MIDI object at a time within an NKI. The MIDI object is held in memory and can be accessed by any of the script slots. It is possible to add, remove and edit MIDI events within the object, as well as import and export MIDI files.

MIDI objects can be exported from KONTAKT either by using the save_midi_file() command, or via a drag and drop enabled label element. In either case, it is possible to define the export area, both in terms of start and end times, as well as the start and end tracks, by using the mf_set_export_area() command.

Hi @Tekalight and thanks for reaching out. Would be great if you can add FL Studio routing instructions as well. In any case, I saw in other plugins a feature that allows to simply drag & drop midi sequence from a generator to another generator. This is much convenient than routing stuff.

@phil_johnston The way the guys at SugarBytes implemented this feature in DrumComputer is what I have in mind. Captain Chord is also a good example of that. The d&d system follows the pattern as it changes and you can export the midi notes whenever you like to any midi supported player.

I'm looking for a sample pack (or vst plugin, but I think there are none) with accoustic percussion. Right now I'm using sibelius to write the sheetmusic directly. But I would like to switch to FL Studio (which I already own) to compose in therte and then export midi over to sibelius. (I've heard that is a very common pattern, makes sense I guess)
