Expentrac ("we", "our", or "us"), developed and operated by Effictra Technologies Ltd, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Expentrac mobile application (the "Application").
By downloading or using Expentrac, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1.2 Financial Information
Expentrac allows you to track your personal and business finances. The following data is stored based on what you enter:
Expense and income records
Spending categories (e.g. food, transport, utilities)
Transaction dates and amounts
Notes or descriptions entered by you
Receipt images uploaded or captured using the camera
1.3 Device and Technical Information
We may automatically collect certain technical information to help maintain and improve the app:
Device type and operating system version
App version and usage patterns
IP address and session information (used only for security, analytics, and app functionality, not for tracking across apps or services)
Crash logs and performance diagnostics
1.4 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Processing
Expentrac uses AI technologies (including third-party AI APIs) to enhance your experience, such as automatically extracting information from receipt images. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws. AI features may process receipt images and financial data you provide. We do not use your financial data for AI model training without your explicit consent.

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

To provide expense tracking and financial management features
To generate financial reports and summaries
To improve app functionality and user experience
To monitor app stability and fix bugs

We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure and protected through encryption during data transmission, secure authentication systems, and strict access control mechanisms.
While we implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to continuously improving our security practices.
3.1 Account Deletion / Data Deletion
Account Deletion
Users have the ability to delete their account directly within the app. When a user chooses to delete their account, all associated personal data, including financial records and uploaded receipts, is permanently deleted from our systems.This process is irreversible, and once completed, the data cannot be recovered.If you have any questions regarding account deletion, you may contact us at contact@effictra.com.
3.2 Data Retention
We retain user data only for as long as the account is active. Once an account is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
4. Third Party Services
We respect your privacy and do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Only aggregated or anonymized data may be shared with external services to help us improve the Application.
The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own Privacy Policy:
Expo (application framework)
Supabase (secure cloud database and authentication)
When using AI features such as receipt scanning, relevant data (such as receipt images and extracted text) may be securely transmitted to third-party AI service providers solely for processing and feature functionality. This data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
Your information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users, or to trusted service providers who operate under confidentiality obligations.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. If you delete your account or request data deletion, your personal and financial data will be permanently removed from our systems within 7 business days.

You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Opt out by uninstalling the application at any time
To request account deletion, please email us at contact@effictra.com with the email address used to register your account. Your account and all stored data will be permanently deleted within 7 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Expentrac is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@effictra.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
