Expense Snap is developed and published by CRLT17. We respect your privacy and have designed Expense Snap to help you organise receipts, invoices and expense documents while keeping you in control of your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Expense Snap accesses, processes, stores and handles information when you use the app.
Expense Snap allows you to capture, import, organise and export expense-related documents.
Depending on how you use the app, the information processed may include:
Receipt and invoice images
PDF documents
Merchant or supplier names
Transaction dates
Expense amounts
Currency
VAT/IVA or other tax information shown on a document
Expense categories
Notes and other information associated with an expense
Files or images that you choose to share with Expense Snap from other apps
Expense Snap does not use this information to provide financial, accounting or tax advice. Any tax information displayed by the app is based on information identified in the source document and should not be interpreted as a determination of tax treatment or deductibility.
Expense Snap can process receipts, invoices, photographs, screenshots and PDF documents to help identify relevant expense information.
This may include extracting information such as the merchant, date, total amount, currency and VAT/IVA shown on the document.
Expense Snap may also suggest an expense category based on the information identified in the document.
Extracted information should always be reviewed by the user for accuracy.
Expense Snap may request access to your device's camera, photos, media or files when required for a feature you choose to use.
For example, camera access may be used to photograph a receipt, while file or media access may be used to import an existing receipt, invoice, screenshot or PDF.
Expense Snap only accesses content that is required for the functionality requested by you.
You may choose to send supported documents to Expense Snap using Android's sharing functionality.
For example, a PDF received by email, a photograph, a screenshot or a document received through another application may be shared with Expense Snap for processing and organisation.
Expense Snap does not automatically access documents or content from other applications. Content is imported when you choose to share or select it.
Expense Snap stores the information required to maintain your expense records and associated documents.
Documents can be organised by features such as month and expense category, allowing you to maintain an organised archive of your expenses.
Your original imported or captured document may be retained alongside the extracted expense information so that you can refer back to the source document.
Expense Snap allows you to export your expense information and documents in supported formats, which may include PDF, Excel, CSV and ZIP.
Exporting or sharing information is initiated by you. Once information has been exported from Expense Snap or shared with another application or service, its subsequent handling may be subject to the privacy practices of the destination selected by you.
CRLT17 does not sell your receipts, invoices, expense records or personal information.
Expense Snap does not make your expense documents publicly available.
Information is shared with another application, person or service when you explicitly choose to export or share it, or where processing by a service provider is necessary to provide a feature of the app.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by Expense Snap.
Users should also protect their devices using appropriate security measures such as a PIN, password, fingerprint or other device security features, particularly because expense documents may contain personal or financial information.
Expense information and documents are retained for as long as necessary to provide the functionality of Expense Snap or until they are deleted by the user.
You can remove expense records and documents using the functionality provided by the app.
Information that has previously been exported or shared outside Expense Snap is not controlled by Expense Snap and must be deleted from the relevant destination separately.
Uninstalling Expense Snap may remove locally stored application data from your device. Users should export any information they wish to retain before deleting the app.
Expense Snap is an organisational tool and does not provide accounting, financial or tax advice.
The app may identify information such as VAT/IVA when it appears on a receipt or invoice, but it does not determine whether an expense is tax deductible, calculate your tax liability or determine the appropriate tax treatment of an expense.
Users should consult a qualified accountant or tax professional where appropriate.
Expense Snap is not designed specifically for children and is not intended to collect personal information from children.
