I just got an EOS R and I am used to doing a quick culling of clips with the 5D Mark IV using the Canon EOS Movie Utility. This little program works with the 5D4 MOV files but does not work with the EOS R MP4 files.

Is there a viewer program that works with the EOS R files and can display your exif data when viewing the clip. I use Davinci Resolve for editing but for initially deciding to keep or delete clips I don't want to have to load all the clips into Davinci Resolve. I am using Windows 10. I presently am using VLC or Windows movie viewer to view the files but I can not see the exif data. Maybe there is a way in VLC but I haven't found it.

Ah, I see. I don't own an EOS R so I didn't have a video file to try with MPC-HC to check what metadata gets displayed. I just found a file online and confirm MPC-HC doesn't display those parts of the metadata.
