Katherine is a graduate research assistant with the Ellacott group. She graduated with an MBiolSci in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Sheffield in 2018. After spending a bit of time on a conservation project in the Annapurna region of Nepal, Katherine returned to her hometown of Exeter and joined the Beallacotts in January 2019. Her work involves developing a refined method of dosing mice during the glucose tolerance test (GTT) for greater clinical relevance, along with supporting other projects examining the fields of metabolism and endocrinology in mice and in vitro.
Hobbies: Katherine enjoys creative writing, which takes up a lot of her spare time, alongside reading, gaming with friends and the occasional hike.
