All in the Mind: Part 1

The Doctor's eyes morph into the PJ Doctor.

We see regration energy come off his hand and head. It fades off. He gets up off the floor in a hurry.

(Intro)

Lexi is walking down the street with her friend, Abby. They are talking.

Abby: Any way Lexi, I gotta get going.

Lexi: Ok, be safe (hugs each other then walks away)

Abby starts walking across the street, she looks back at Lexi and waves.

Abby: Bye.

[Next scene]

Ethan Turner is running down the street holding a file with papers in it. He looks at his watch.

Ethan:(Muttering to himself) Oh no, I'm SO late.

[Next Scene]

Lexi is walking. Ethan runs into her and drops his file.

LexI: WOAH, WATCH IT.

Ethan: oh i am so sorry i will keep my eyes ford next time.

He picks up the papers. Ethan picks a paper that has the UNIT logo on it.

Lexi: UNIT aye.

Ethan: Yup. I just became a sergeant.

Lexi: I'm Lexi Baker by the way. 

They shake hands.

Lexi: And you?

Ethan: Oh, I'm Ethan Turner.

Lexi: Nice to meet you Ethan Turner.

Ethan nods once and quickly.

Ethan: Anyway, I better get going. I don't want to be late for my first meeting.

Lexi: Anyway Ethan. Why were you in such a rush? It's not like there's an injured person falling from the sky in a broken spaceship or anything.

[New Scene]

The Doctor is crawling across the ground injured.

Doctor:(Groans)

The Doctor sits on the ground with his back up against the wall. The doctor clenches his stomach. He then breaths out regeneration energy.

Doctor:(In pain) Ah Ha. ( with agony in his voice) 

The Doctor crawls over to the console.

Doctor: Ah, come on, come on.

He pulls a lever and he goes flying backwards.

Doctor: GAAAAA

[New Scene]

Ethan: Lexi was it?

Lexi: Yup

Ethan: It was nice meeting you but I'm already late enough to this meeting. Bye.

Ethan starts walking the same direction he was running. He hears the TARDIS. When he looks up he can see the TARDIS flying around like crazy. He has a shocked look on his face. He runs in the direction that Lexi was walking.

[New Scene]

The TARDIS bangs onto the ground fast and hard.

The Doctor opens the door and the Doctor falls out. He crawls away from the TARDIS injured. When he is quite far away from the TARDIS he turns his body around. He is facing the TARDIS still on the ground. The TARDIS starts taking off.

Doctor:(Weak) No.

The Doctor gets out his sonic screwdriver but he is too weak to use it. The TARDIS is now gone. He drops his hand and head.

[New Scene]

Ethan runs into the park. He stops.

Ethan:(whispers to self) Oh no.

Ethan runs up to the Doctor.

Ethan: Oh, no. Please don't be dead. Please don't be dead.( face confused to what had an happened) 

Regeneration energy comes from the Doctor. Ethan stands back. The Doctor's eyes open. The Doctor stands up quickly.

Doctor: Ah, what just happened. My voice, it's different. Wait, I'm taller than I was.

Ethan: (true fear in his eyes and voice, speech stuttering)  Uhhh, excuse me, mr, are you ok?

Doctor: Ah, I'm the Doctor, stay back.

Ethan:(makes a face of realization)Doctor? Is that you?

Doctor: Wait? How do you know me?

Ethan: HOW DO I KNOW YOU? EVERYONE AT UNIT KNOWS ABOUT YOU!

Doctor: You're from UNIT aye…? If there's UNIT then that means I musnt be in England 1881 anymore.

Ethan: Ok?

Doctor: Where are we then? Wait don't tell me.

The Doctor gets out his sonic screwdriver and scans the area. He puts his sonic up to his ear.

Doctor: It says that the year is 2014. And we’re in New Zealand. 

The Doctor takes the sonic away from his ear.

Doctor: THAT’S FANTASTIC.

The Doctor quickly turns his head to Ethan.

Doctor: You! What's your name?

Ethan: It's ah, Ethan. Ethan Turner.

Doctor: Nice to meet you Nathan.

The Doctor shakes Ethans hand.

Ethan: It's Ethan.

Doctor: I knew that, I was just joking. HA. Anyway, eyes, 2. Nose, 1. Lips, 2. Ears, 2. And I… I… I… crap! I stutter now, man that's going to get SO annoying.

Ethan: Are you ok Doctor? You don't seem right.

Doctor: What do you mean i'm not right. I am right handed. Well, actually, I'm both handed. HA HA.

Ethan: Ok? I don't mean handwriting. I mean… Up here.

Ethan points to his head.

Doctor: Oh! Yeah! Why? 

Ethan: (Breaths out)

Lexi runs into the field. She runs over to Ethan and the Doctor.

Lexi: What's happening here? I saw something fall to earth and….

She looks over to Ethan.

Lexi: What are you doing here?

Ethan: What am I doing here? What are you doing here?

Doctor: Wait. Ah, I'm getting a headache. 

The Doctor looks like he's about the faint.

Doctor:(Dazed) Where's the TARDIS gone.

Ethan: Doctor, are you ok?

Doctor: It's not there…

The Doctor faints. Ethan only just catches him.

Ethan: Doctor!

Ethan lies to the doctor on the ground.

Ethan: Doctor wake up!

Ethan slaps the doctor's face.

Lexi: Should I call an ambulance? 

Ethan: No don't.

Lexi: Why?

Ethan: Because he isn't human.

Lexi: Isn't human? What are you talking about?

Ethan: I don't have time to explain.

Ethan starts doing CPR.

Lexi: What's his name?

Ethan: His name is the Doctor.

Ethan continues.

Ethan: It's not working!

Ethan stops the CPR and starts going through the Doctor's pockets to see if there is anything he can find to help the Doctor. Ethan finds the Doctor's sonic screwdriver.

Ethan: Ummm, ahhh.

Ethan points it at the Doctor and the Doctor wakes up.

Doctor: What did you do?

Ethan: I don't know. I just pointed this at you.

Doctor: Ohhh. Good old life saver.

Ethan: What?

Doctor: You wouldnt understand if I told you.

Ethan: Ok??

The Doctor stands up.

Doctor: Anyway. Who are you?

Lexi: Um… My name is Lexi.

Doctor: Nice to meet you Lexi.

Lexi: Nice to meet you too.

Doctor: Now! Before I fainted, what was going on?

Ethan: You said something about the TARDIS being gone.

Doctor: Oh yes, THE TARDIS!!! It's gone. This isn't good.

Ethan: What do you think happened to it?

Doctor: I don't know.

Lexi: TARDIS? What?

Doctor: You're so confused. The TARDIS is my ship that travels through time and space.

Lexi: You're expecting me to think you're telling the truth?

Doctor: I am telling the truth. I need to scan the area.

The Doctor gets out his sonic and starts scanning around where the TARDIS was taken.

Doctor: Ok, I am detecting some nasty energy coming from this area.

His sonic stops making noise.

Doctor: CRAP! It's gone.

His sonic starts making noise again.

Doctor: Wait… The energy is moving. Follow me Ethan.

Ethan: Ok, Doctor.

Lexi: Hey! What about me?

Doctor: Oh you can come! Sure. Well, if you too, that is.

Lexi: YES! Of Course!

Doctor: Ok then?

[The Ranis Base]

We see a dark figure. We can not make out who it is.

Rani: The Doctor survived. Very good. The second phase of my plan has begun.

[Street]

Doctor: The signal ends here.

Ethan: What? But there's nothing here?

Doctor: Sh sh sh…

The Doctor's face looks like he's thinking. The Doctor puts his hand out.

Doctor: Oh dear.

Lexi: What is it?

Doctor: I am sensing something bad.

Ethan: What kind of bad?

Doctor: Very. I need to think.

The Doctor rubs his eyes in pain.

Doctor: Gaaa.

The Doctor falls to the ground. The doctor breaths out regeneration energy.

Lexi: What the hell…

Ethan: Doctor?

Lexi: What was that?

Ethan: Lexi, shut up. Doctor are you ok?

Doctor:(Weak and dazed) Yes, I’m…. Fine…. 

The Doctor falls to the ground, dropping his sonic screwdriver on the ground spews up regeneration heart pulsing with fear for his life.

Ethan: What do we do?

Lexi stops and thinks in a panic.

Lexi: Ahhhh, my friend is training to be a doctor. She will know what to do.

Ethan: Ok, go, GO!

[Ranis base]

The Rani is holding a big orb in both hands. In the orb it is live footage of what's happening. The rani is laughing. The rani walks into the darkness.

[In the orb]

Lexi runs into the shot with Abby.

Zooms into the orb and back to normal camera view.

[Street]

The Doctor isn't spewing anymore. Abby checks the doctor's pulse on his neck.

Abby: He's not breathing.

Abby turns her head around to say he's not breathing. Then the Doctor's top half of his body jolts up, heavy breathing. The Doctor puts his hand on Abby and Abby gets a fright and fulls into Lexi. 

Doctor:(Dazed) Eva.

Abby: What, who's Eva?

Doctor: I thought you… You're still alive.

Abby: I'm not…

Ethan: Doctor? Are you ok?

The Doctor looks over at Ethan.

Doctor: You.

The Doctor points at Ethan. The Doctor faints again.

Ethan: No.

Ethan picks up the Doctor's sonic and points it at him.

Ethan: No! It's not working.

Abby: What's that serpost to do?

Ethan: Wake him up.

Abby: Why would that work?

Ethan: Well it worked last time!

Abby: It's just a torch.

Ethan: This is not just a torch. Now can you please shut up.

Abby:(Whispers) Sorry.

Ethan: I think we need to take the Doctor somewhere. Whose house is closer?

Lexi: Ah, mine.

Ethan: Can you take us there?

Lexi: Yes.

[Lexis lounge]

Ethan and Lexi carry the Doctor into the room.

Ethan: So, where should we put him?

Lexi: On the couch should be fine.

They put the Doctor onto the couch.

Lexi: How long do you think he will be out?

Ethan: I don't know. It's hard to tell. Hours, days, maybe even weeks.

Abby: Lexi, should I make us some coffee?

Lexi: Oh yes please.

Abby walks out of the room.

Lexi: What was that stuff the Doctor was spewing up?

Ethan: I'm pretty sure it was regeneration energy.

Lexi: Regeneration energy.

Ethan: Whenever the doctor dies his body produces stuff called regeneration energy. It allows his body to change and stay alive. He is probably going through post regeneration trauma.

Lexi: Oh, you have a great imagination.

Ethan: What?

Lexi: Your imagination. I like it.

Ethan: Wait, what? NOOO! I wasn't lying.

Lexi: Riiiiight.

Ethan: What I’m not.

Lexi: I'm just gonna wait for him to wake up, and then I will ask him myself.

[Ranis base]

We see the rani snap her fingers as she says: 

Rani: Wake

[Lexis lounge]

The Doctor's eyes open as he takes a deep breath in.

Ethan: Doctor! You're awake!

Lexi: How are you?

Doctor: I don't know. It felt like I was having some sort of bad dream or something. But I'm ok now.

Ethan: What kind of bad? Like evil bad?

Doctor: Yeah.

Lexi: Doctor, Ethan said that when you die you produce this stuff called regeneration energy, I told him he was wrong but he doesnt think he is. Can you tell him it's not true?

Doctor: It is true!

Ethan: See Lexi, I told you. GAAAAAAA

Ethan clenches his chest in pain.

Doctor: Crap!

The Doctor runs over to Ethan and catches him before he falls.

Lexi: Ethan, are you ok?

Ethan: I think s…. AAAHAHA, NOPE, NOPE, DEFINITELY NOT!

Lexi: What's happening.

Doctor: I don't know?

Ethan: I can see someone.

Doctor: Who?

Ethan jolts and falls to the ground.

Ethan: GAAAAHA. I CAN HEAR SOMETHING. A VOICE.

Doctor: Ethan, what does it say. This is important.

Ethan: I have finally trapped you.

Doctor: Oh no

Ethan: You are my prisoner now. AHH

Doctor: Is there more.

Ethan: I don't think so. AHHH

Doctor: Ask for a name.

Ethan: Ok. What's your name? WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

Ethan is breathing heavily.

Ethan: Her name.

Doctor: Yes what is it?

Ethan: Her name is…. 

Doctor: Come on, you can do it.

Ethan: The…. The Rani.

The Doctor looks up into the camera lens.
