Why should I care about the Census?

Detroiters deserve to be counted!

We believe in our people’s right to be counted and take back what is rightfully ours.

Detroit misses out on millions of dollars of federal funding when populations are under-counted. The more people counted means more money and resources for Detroiters like you.

Take back what’s yours - get counted! #BeCountedDetroit

Calling all young African American men!

African American men, 18-24 years old, are less healthy, have access to fewer health care resources, and die earlier.

Don't ignore these FACTS. You deserve your share, and you deserve to be counted.

What's at stake? Being counted means more hospital services, more health care, and more power to demand YOUR SHARE.

Detroit babies deserve to be counted!

About 1 million children under the age of 5 were not counted in the last Census. Your children deserve their share, and they deserve to be counted.

Make sure your babies are counted in the Census so they can grow up to have resources like school lunches, K-12 education, and more.
