I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Maine. Previously, I was a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Prior to my tenure track positions, I was PIMS postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia and the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences working with Prof. Tai-Peng Tsai and Prof. Stephen Gustafson, and postdoc at McMaster University working with Prof. Eric Sawyer. I have also been a visiting postdoc at the Fields Institute, MSRI (now SLMath), and the Institut Mittag-Leffler. I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in July 2019, where I was a student of Prof. Robert McCann.
My research is in partial differential equations and fluid mechanics, especially focusing on the role of the strain in Navier--Stokes analysis. A talk at MSRI going over my most significant work can be found here. A talk at MSRI giving an overview of my earlier work can be found here. All of my publications are available on arXiv in preprint form; see the "Publications" tab for links.
