Malm Arena offers modern facilities to accommodate various events. It features several flexible spaces, including a large arena floor that can be adapted for different purposes. The arena also has hospitality and catering services, VIP lounges, restaurants, bars, and merchandising areas.

Malm Arena is the home arena for the Malm Redhawks, a professional ice hockey team competing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The arena has hosted numerous ice hockey matches, including international tournaments and playoff games.

The arena has become a popular venue for concerts and other live performances. It has hosted a wide range of artists and bands from different genres, including rock, pop, hip-hop, and classical music. The arena's flexible layout and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems make it suitable for large-scale productions.

The arena is easily accessible by public transportation. It is located adjacent to the Hyllie railway station, which is a major transportation hub with train and bus connections. There are also ample parking facilities for those traveling by car.

The Liverpool Arena, also called "M&S Bank Arena," is part of Exhibition Centre Liverpool and is located in central Liverpool right next to River Mersey. The arena opened in 2008, and has a capacity of 11,000.

This week Ben Robertson is with Melodifestivalen as it visits The Scandinavium, the host arena for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985. Gothenburg would like to host the Song Contest again, but here he explains why there are many challenges in the way of such ambition.

The biggest issue is that paraboloid roof however. The roof of this arena is saddle shaped and sags in the middle. To support the roof, there has suspension supports that travel from either corner underneath the roof line. This reduces the height between the floor and the lightning rig set up, meaning making Eurovision a spectacular TV show is more problematic here.

The idea is that Frihamnen will be the centerpiece of the entire arrangement and the arena will be retained for some time afterwards for other events.

Both Visit Sweden and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce are said to be supportive of the bid.

Given the issues and requirements to have a strong roof structure to hold rigging and stage elements I would imagine a temporary arena would need some hefty structural work to comply with this.

I could imagine a temporary Abba Voyage show being hosted in such a venue post ESC

The result of the relative dullness inside the arena is that fans are not interested in attending the show. Yes, the show sold out this year, but a large number of hardcore fans who make the annual pilgrimage now stay away. The Swedish branch of OGAE, Melodifestivalklubben, usually has to do a random ballot to determine who gets tickets in their allocation from the production company. Despite a surge in membership the numbers applying for Final tickets fell to a level where no draw was needed. Instead an increasing number of the group are staying in a bar to watch the show on a big screen, making their own festive atmosphere.

The live feeling is more evident [in a smaller arena]. If you do a reverse, that is when you go around the artist, then you can feel each and every person in the arena. Here at Friends Arena you see just the first ten rows, the beams of light and the LED stripe around the arena, but you miss the sense of the live people.

The Friends Arena has place for 60,000 spectators, but in case this arena gets to host the contest the audience numbers will be reduced to create a more intimate setting. Every year, since the opening of the Friends Arena, this venue has been used to host the popular Swedish national final, Melodifestivalen; during this event the capacity of the Friends Arena is halved to 30,000 spectators, which means that this arena is one of the biggest arenas to host the contest.

The M&S Bank Arena has 7,513 permanent seats around three sides of a central floor suitable for hosting indoor sports events, Wikipedia learns. The capacity for end-stage and in-the-round concerts is 10,600 including floor seating. With floor standing, the overall capacity of the arena is increased to 11,000. There are several corporate boxes situated around the sides of the arena.

The 67th Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. The arena has a capacity of 11,000 seats. Eurovision 2023 will take place on May 9, 11 and 13.

Cities were expected to meet a number of requirements to host, including having a suitable arena capable of hosting thousands of fans, a nearby airport and transit system equipped to handle a flow of arrivals, and enough hotel rooms to cater for everyone who will attend: a large staff and production crew, roughly 40 national delegations, as well as the media and fans who follow the contest across Europe.

Four cities are still in the running to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Sweden. Malm, Gothenburg, rnskldsvik and the capital city Stockholm. According to Dagens Nyheter, a proposal submitted to SVT plans a new, temporary arena in Frihamnen in Stockholm. The executive producer at SVT, Ebba Adielsson, said the following:

Eurovision fans will remember the arena hosting the 2013 contest, beating out the Friends Arena in Stockholm and the Scandinavium in Gothenburg. Ironically, all three of these venues are now up against each other once more to host. The city also hosted the 1992 contest in the Malm Isstadion, a fellow ice hockey arena that was the former home of the Redhawks.

Gaun yersel! ? Glasgow has an epic history spanning from medieval to modern - and it has a Eurovision connection too! The city's arena appeared in The Story of Fire Saga ?
