We are a competitive and non-competitive equestrian club affiliated with Edinboro University and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). Any full-time undergraduate student who is in good academic standing is welcome to tryout for the competitive team or participate as a non-competitive club member. For those of you who love horses and do not want to give up your passion for riding while attending a college or university, the Edinboro University Equestrian Team will be perfect for you! The equestrian team is an excellent way to mix extra curricular activities with your academic schedule. With a variety of team activites, meetings, lessons, and shows, the EUP Equestrian Team has something for every rider.

We compete in Zone 2 Region 5 of the IHSA.
As a member of IHSA, the team competes in hunt seat equitation with a maximum of of 10 shows per season (approx. 3-6 shows per semester). IHSA provides a unique experience to its members because riders' horses are provided by the host college and chosen for each rider through a random draw at the beginning of each show. Although there is no limit to the limit of riders eligible to register with IHSA, only 12 riders can attend any given show. The Edinboro Equestrian Team is limited to 15 members. Members participating in IHSA competitions will be evaluated based on their riding ability and will be selected at the discretion of the coach and the executive officers.
The current home of the Edinboro Equestrian Team is Ferghana Farms located 8 miles from Edinboro University campus. All team members are required to attend weekly lessons with the team coach and pay a percentage of their weekly lesson fees. Attendence at weekly meetings and participation in team fundraisers is mandatory. Membership dues must be paid at the beginning of each semester to help offset costs incurred by the team.
