I am a political philosopher at the Chair of Philosophy and Political Theory, LMU Munich. I currently hold a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to work on my project The Ethics of Stigma. From January to August 2027 I will be on secondment at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen.
My work addresses themes such as stigma, social hierarchy, the practice of shaming, and the emotion of shame. I have instructed undergraduate and masters students on topics connected to my research, as well as on broader issues in moral, political, and social philosophy. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I have been based in Munich since 2023, initially funded by the Leverhulme Trust. In 2023 I was awarded my PhD at the Department of Philosophy, University College London (UCL). I am originally from Scotland.
