I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair in Philosophy and Political Theory, LMU Munich. My published work has addressed themes such as stigma, the practice of shaming, and the emotion of shame. My research also engages with the philosophical literature on social hierarchy.
My work is currently funded by the Leverhulme Trust. From October 2025 to September 2027 I will be a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, also at the Chair at LMU. In 2023 I was awarded my PhD at the Department of Philosophy, University College London (UCL). I am originally from Scotland.
I have instructed undergraduate and maters students on topics connected to my research, as well as on broader issues in moral, political, and social philosophy. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
