Dr. Justin Chen is an adult & pediatric allergist at East Texas Allergy & Asthma. He is a native of Beaumont, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in biochemistry. He earned his M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Allergy and Immunology were completed at the UT Southwestern University Hospitals & Clinics, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Parkland Memorial Hospital.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Chen has published and spoken at state and national conferences on drug allergies, chronic urticaria and food allergies. He was honored by American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for his research on penicillin allergy testing. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society. He is on staff at both Longview Regional and Good Shepherd Medical Centers. He is on the teaching faculty of the UT Health / Good Shepherd Graduate Medical Education program.

Outside of medicine Dr. Chen has completed several full and half-marathons over the years. He also enjoys swimming, travel, Aggie sports and spending time with his excitable dog.
