With the trend of virtual YouTubers (VTubers) continuing to rise, I found myself captivated by the animation and technology behind them, and wanted to make my own models. I myself may never stream, but I am glad I pushed myself to learn and grow to make these. I currently have only worked on models for this one character, but I have ideas for more in the future.
Majijou
Majijou
These are Live2D models I created for a character I thought of called "Majijou." Her original model was created in 2020, and her current one was finished in 2022. I may work on a third model once I finish redesigning her, but I have some ideas for other characters that I would like to design and animate first. Despite this, developing Majijou will always hold a special place in my heart, both as my first Live2D model and as a milestone in my growth as an artist.
A new updated model that more closely resembles my vision for Majijou. There were many issues that I had with the original one, so I spent a lot of time redrawing everything part from scratch, and then optimizing the rigging. There are still many ideas with this that I have yet to realize, but I can say with some pride that this is nearly everything I wanted when I first thought of this project.

The original design as it normally looks. She looks pretty different from the illustration I once made, as Majijou (originally named "Eden") had gone through a few design changes over time. Looking at how much Majijou has developed since my early sketches of her makes me pretty happy with where we are now.

A variant of the original design without the jacket. I initially did not draw her arms above her elbows, so I had to draw and fit her upper arms in fairly late into the process. Not proud of that, but it is something to remember going forward.
