This Privacy Policy outlines how the eStory application (referred to as “eStory,” “the App,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application (package name: com.novel.estory.free.reader.dreame.gp.us, collectively called the “App”). We are dedicated to protecting your privacy while delivering a personalized and functional experience with tailored short drama content, novels, and features. This policy may be updated from time to time, so please revisit it regularly for any changes.
Note: This App is not designed for users under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please refrain from using the App or providing any personal information to us.

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We gather only the data essential for delivering and enhancing the App’s functionality. Below is an overview of what we collect and the rationale behind it:
2.1 Types of Data Collected
- Usage and Device Information:
- We automatically gather certain non-personal information about your App usage, including the device type, unique device identifier, operating system version, and the date/time of your usage.
- We collect device and network connection information to enhance your experience while using the App.
- This information varies based on your interactions with us, choices (including privacy settings), and the products/features you use. It may include:
SDK/API/JS code version, IP address, platform, timestamp, application identifier, application version, distribution channel, independent device identifier, terminal manufacturer, terminal OS version, language location, time zone, network status (Wi-Fi, etc.), CPU and battery usage, screen resolution, memory/storage usage, SIM operator, SIM card country, Google Play release status, ad loading strategy, ad platform/placement ID, device screen dimensions, SIM operator name, and OS version.
- We store collected information via the Android ID associated with your device to retain your in-App advertising behavior. This information will be treated as personal data.
- Non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII)：
- Non-PII refers to information that cannot be used to identify a specific individual. For instance, we collect statistical data like the number of website visits. This data helps us understand how users engage with our websites, products, and services, enabling us to improve our offerings and better meet your needs. We may also collect, use, process, transfer, or disclose non-PII for other purposes at our discretion.
- We strive to keep your personal data separate from non-PII and ensure the two types of data are used independently. If personal data is combined with non-PII, the combined information will still be treated as personal data during processing.
- Mobile Analytics:
- Similar to most mobile applications, we utilize mobile analytics tools to gather specific information about your use of our mobile apps, as well as details about your device and the performance of our Services. This helps us better understand how our Services function on your device and enables app optimization. These tools may record information such as your app usage frequency, feature engagement and usage statistics, in-app or in-game events, aggregated usage and performance data, and the source of the app/game download (e.g., which app store).
We do not collect: Sensitive personal information including your name, email address, financial details, biometric data, or precise geolocation unless explicitly provided by you for Drama functionality.

(Please note that we may revise this list from time to time for reasons such as product updates, technological upgrades (e.g., changes in your phone's operating system), or legal and policy requirements. The specific method for reviewing permission status and revoking them may differ across devices, so please refer to the guidelines provided by your device's OEM or OS developers. If you are unable to perform the relevant steps or adjust settings on your current product or device, please contact us or your device's OEM.
- Please be advised that when you deny or disable some or all of the permissions, it signifies your refusal to provide related information to us, which in turn makes us unable to offer you the functions associated with those permissions. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, your decision to deny a specific permission on your device will not affect or render invalid our prior handling of your relevant information, which was based on your previous consent to grant such permission.
- Via Third-Party Services:
- We use Firebase, a tool provided by Google LLC, to process some data (see Section 4 for details).
2.3 Data Anonymity
Where possible, your data is stored and processed anonymously. We cannot personally identify you except device type (for crash reports).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal information we gather through the Services for the purposes described as follows:

- Operate, develop and improve our mobile applications and other services;
- Understand you and your preferences to enhance and personalize your experiences and enjoyment using our Service;
- Provide you with personalized recommendations for mobile applications and games and/or Services;

You can choose not to share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, or from allowing us to use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes for which we originally collected it or subsequently obtained your consent. If you choose to limit the ways we can use your personal information, some or all of the services may not be available to you.

We work with a variety of third parties and service providers. We do not sell, trade or rent Users Personal Information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

- Processed by: Google LLC (United States) – Google Privacy Policy.
*Google LLC acts as a Data Processor under our instructions. Your data may be transferred to the United States, subject to Privacy Shield or equivalent safeguards.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Monitors app crashes for troubleshooting.
- Data Collected: Android ID, Advertising ID, crash logs, approximate location.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: Measures App performance.
- Data Collected: Usage data, technical details.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
User information gathered through our Service is stored and processed via Google Firebase, which offers secure data storage infrastructure. We use SSL encryption for data transmission and apply AES encryption to safeguard content against unauthorized access or disclosure. Data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers maintained by Firebase.
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect user information. Please note that no system can ensure absolute security. We cannot guarantee the complete security of information transmitted through or stored in our Service. Additionally, we cannot warrant that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed as a result of a security breach.
If you no longer want to use our Services anymore and would like your account deleted, You can use the "Delete account" button to carry out this operation. We will clear your relevant information in the app. If you have uninstalled the app, you can email us at estory2022@outlook.com to request deletion of user data. We will provide you with further assistance and guide you through the process. Once you choose to delete your account, you will not be able to reactivate your account or retrieve any of the content or information you have added.
You have the ability to delete your Account, and you should understand that upon deletion of your Account, you will lose the right to access or use all or part of the Platform.
We reserve the right to disable, suspend, or terminate your Account, at any time, for any reason in our discretion, especially when you fail to comply with any provision of these Terms.
- Storage Duration:
- User data is not retained on our servers beyond the period necessary for service functionality.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your account information and controlling access to communication between you and the Service. We are not responsible for the security practices of third-party services.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
- Third-Party Service Providers:
- We may share your non-personal information, including usage and device data, with third-party service providers who assist us in operating and improving the App, including cloud storage providers, analytics tools, and crash reporting services.
- These third-party providers are contractually bound to protect the confidentiality and security of your information.

8. International Data Transfers (GDPR Compliance)
If you’re in the UK or EEA:
- Your data may be transferred outside these regions including to the US via Firebase, AdMob, Facebook or AppLovin.
- We ensure safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions are in place.

9. Children’s Privacy
eStory is not developed for children. This Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13 or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. If you believe that we have personal data about or collected from a child under the relevant age, please contact us at estory2022@outlook.com
Users between 13 and 18 (each a “Teen”) may not access or use the Service unless
(i) both the Teen and their parent or legal guardian have first agreed to these Terms of Service;
(ii) the Teen uses an account established by their parent or legal guardian, under such parent or guardian’s supervision, and with such parent or guardian’s permission.
If you permit a Teen to use the Services, you hereby agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of both yourself and the Teen. You further agree that you are solely responsible for any and all use of the Service by your teen regardless of whether such use was authorized by you.

We may, however, modify the Policy from time to time. If such change has been made, we will provide you additional forms of notice of modifications or updates as appropriate under the circumstances. Your continued use of our app or services following the change of the Policy will mean you accept those changes.
