I am a PhD candidate in Sociology at Brown University. In my research, I use quantitative, computational and qualitative methods to investigate patterns of demographic and social change, with a focus on gender and inequality in the U.S. and Europe.
My dissertation combines structural topic modeling, causal inference methods, and in-depth interviews to examine how gender-based violence became recognized as both a public problem and a crime in 21st century Italy. My broader research agenda includes studies on fertility, gender inequalities within the family, the gender gap in financial literacy and trends in attitudes towards feminism.
My previous research has appeared in Demography, Population Research and Policy Review, and the ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science.
I am on the academic job market this fall (2025).
