We have been talking a lot about lines. What happens when we put lines together? We get SHAPES!
Let's explore four stations where we get to make our own shapes...
First, watch and listen to this story....Big Box of Shapes!
Think about all the different kinds of shapes there are all around us! What can you do with them?
We will explore these different stations:
Using tissue paper cut-out shapes, create a collage on contact paper! This creation can be put up in a window to see the light come through all of the shapes!
Create buildings and draw them! Use blocks to build houses, huts, and skyscrapers...then draw your creation, showing all of the shapes!
Let's print some shapes! A toilet paper roll can turn into many shapes! When the end is dipped in paint, we have a stamp...a stamp that is made of a line that has turned into a shape!
