What happens when you take some lines and connect them? What do you make? SHAPES!!

Start with some yarn or string...what happens when you connect the ends? Can you make shapes? What kind of shapes are you making? Do they have names?

Watch and listen to the book: Mouse Shapes. How many shapes do you see?

Now it's time to make your own artwork from shapes! We are going to COLLAGE our GEOMETRIC and ORGANIC shapes onto paper. All we need is glue, our shapes, some paper, and our creativity!

For those wanting to go the extra step, use scissors to cut your own shapes for your collage!
