Rainbow Self Portraits
Be a Rainbow!
Day 1:
During our unit on color, we will practice mixing the primary colors to get secondary colors....then use them all to paint a rainbow!
With extra time, it's always fun to watch this song about colors!
Day 2:
What do the colors of the rainbow represent? Which of those words might describe you?
If there is time, watch this fun song all about colors!
Day 2 continued...
Now let's create a full body self portrait to add to our rainbow backgrounds!
Using a pencil to start, lightly draw out a your body and head...don't forget the details!
Head - hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears
Neck!
Body - shoulders, arms, hands, fingers
Legs - knees, feet
Then go over your lines carefully with a black sharpie. After using the black sharpie, it is time to add color to your self portrait. Use crayons and skin color crayons to add color to your amazing work!
Once done, use your best cutting skills to cut out your self portrait to glue it on to your rainbow background!
Add your name!!
