ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), a gaming hardware company, has announced that it will establish an esports academy program for gamers in India. All those interested who are older than 16 are able to sign up for the academy. For starters, the academy will focus on the creation of a new generation of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players. New players will be properly tested, and they will be required to go through tests, interviews, and tournaments. The ROG state that this is necessary to ‘find the most suitable candidates’. They will be outfitted with ASUS ROG products and will also have access to professional support from the academy’s coaches and experts such as Agneya “Marzil” Koushik and Prashant “Aequitas” Prabhakar.
Koushik is the Head Coach of ROG Academy, and Prashant “Aequitas” Prabhakar is the current CEO of SoStronk.
