ESPN PLUS is short form of Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. It is an American sports channel owned by espn.com mutually by The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. The company was founded in 1979 by Bill Rasmussen along with his son Scott Rasmussen and Ed Egan with slogan The global Leader in Sports. ESPN along with its 17 sister channel, some of them are regional having office in Canada, Florida and many more.
To target the Indian subcontinent including India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ESPN PLUS Inc. partnership with Sony Pictures Network India on 16 January 2016 and launched Sony ESPN
Steps to watch ESPN PLUS on Smart TV
There are three ways to enjoy your favorite sports streamed on Espn.com/activate on smart TV
1) Through satellite TV ( Cable operator)
1.Go to the ESPN App on your streaming device. If it's not installed, install it from your device app or channel store.
2.Highlight the settings gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3.Pressto enter the settings menu.
4.Open Account credential.
5.Choose sign in to ESPN Account to view your activation code.
6.Go to espn.com/activate on your phone, tablet, or desktop.
7.Follow the guidence on the site to sign in with your ESPN+ account.
8.Your TV will confirm when you've successfully linked your account.
9.Back on the ESPN TV App main screen, select ESPN.
Now your TV is all good to watch ESPN shows. The ESPN part has live content and original shows containing documentaries all waiting for you. Just select the ESPN+ part each time you open the app to view what's new.
2) Through web browser
Step1. Open the portal available on your TV.
Step2. Enter espn.com/activate and enjoy favorite sports either live or its highlights.
3) Through App.
If you don’t want to enter the username or password each time on portal installs the ESPN app using following steps.
Step 1. On your smart TV install it from the app store if you don’t have the app. Download it from Watch Espn.com
Step 2. If you are Pre-register then enter your details. If you don’t have an account, then select Sign Up to create a new ESPN account or you can use your Facebook account for signup.
Step 3. Follow the instructions and fill your details.
Step 4. You will be taken to the Success Screen.
