WHAT IS ESPN?
ESPN is abbreviated form of Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. It is an American worldwide basic cable sports channel owned by espn.com mutually by The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. The company was founded in 1979 by Bill Rasmussen along with his son Scott Rasmussen and Ed Egan with slogan The Worldwide Leader in Sports. ESPN along with its 17 sister channel among which some are regional have offices in Canada, Florida and many more.To target the Indian subcontinent including India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ESPN Inc. joined hand with Sony Pictures Network India on 16 January 2016 and launched Sony ESPN
Steps to watch ESPN on Smart TV
There are three ways to enjoy your favorite sports streamed on ESPN on smart TV
Through satellite TV ( Cable operator)
1. Go to the ESPN App on your streaming gadget. If it's not yet downloaded, download it from your device app or channel store.
2. Highlight the settings gear symbol in the upper right corner of the display.
3. Pressto insert the settings menu.
4. Open Account credential.
5. Choose sign in to ESPN Account to view your activation code.
6. Go to espn.com/activate on your phone, tablet, or PC.
7. Follow the instruction on the site to sign in with your ESPN+ account.
8. Your TV will confirm when you've successfully linked your account.
9. Back on the ESPN TV App main display, choose ESPN+.
Now your TV is all good to watch ESPN+ shows. The ESPN+ part has live content and original shows containing documentaries all waiting for you. Just choose the ESPN+ part each time you open the app to view what's new.
Though web browser
Step1.Launch web browser available on your TV.
Step2. Enter espn.com/activate and enjoy favorite sports either live or its highlights.
Through App.
If you don’t want to enter the credential every time on web browser installs the ESPN app using following steps.
Step 1. On your smart TV install it from the app store if you don’t have the app. Download it from WatchEspn.com
Step 2. If you have account then enter your credentials. If you don’t have an ESPN account, then select Sign Up to create a new Espn.com/activate account. You can even signup with your Facebook account.
Step 3.Follow the procedure and enter required details.
Step 4.You will be taken to the Success Screen.
