For this hour, we use AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) systems to communicate with our colleagues so we can truly appreciate the challenges our non-verbal students face on a daily basis.
We use AAC apps (TouchChat, Sonoflex, Text to Speech with free/low cost versions), low tech core vocabulary boards, paper and pens, sign language/gestures or a combination thereof to get our messages across.
