Somehow I am not able to open any folders under the File explorer tab of the Android device monitor. They just aren't responding. I tried waiting for ADM to load and tried again but no success. (Double click on folder is not working, STRANGE!)

In the Logs Android Studio stated that explorer command could not be found, soI solved it by adding C:\Windows\explorer.exe to my Path Variable and restarted Android Studio.

I don't think it is (only) an Android Studio Bug because explorer command wasn't working in cmd either.

Also it is strange since it worked in 3.2 beta while 3.1.3 wasn't working.

According forums and other websites this code 150 signify that android studio try to open device file explorer in Samsung Secure Folder when my Flutter app it's installed in normal device storage, this error apparently appairing in Samsung devices with Secure folder. How we execute Device File Explorer in normal device storage, any idea?

There are lots of alternatives to ES File Explorer if you're looking for the best file explorer app. Some of these include Google Files, CX File Explorer, FX File Explorer, and File Manager by Xiaomi.

I was using ES Explorer to connect to a PC okay but recently I changed the modem then my Android phone can't connect to the computer anymore. I thought it would be caused by a setting on my modem, but searching on Google cannot help me find out. Please tell me how to get my android connected to the PC so I can access files again.

In Private Network section, select these "turn on network discovery and its subordinate checkbox", "turn on file and printer sharing", then again use this address in windows explorer "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center" and make sure your ethernet adapter is a private network.

Now go to android, open your local network app (in this case es explorer, but this works for other apps as well), use the copied ip address in the host name/ip address textbox, use the copied username and password, and press connect.

So, the only way I got this working was to turn off password protected sharing. Then on es file explorer press and hold on my laptops icon in the network search then click the pencil at the top right then in domain entered the name of my laptop then entered my username and password and then that was it. I was able to see all my files but I cant get into the c drive only my files in my user folder are accessible and obviously public folders. So even turning off the password sharing it still seems secure.

Recently, my field crew(s) have complained to me that the maps (Electric and Water service maps) are not working. Specifically, when they click on a feature on the map (Primary Conductor, Fire Hydrant, Etc), the pop-up window doesn't show up to show the attributes of the feature. This started only about a week ago, but its the same map(s) that they have been using for about the past 2 years. The data comes from ArcGIS Pro and is uploaded as a feature layer to ArcGIS Online and the feature layer is added to a map thru AGOL. The map is opened on an android phone/tablet via the android Explorer app. I am also being told the same thing is going on with an iPhone Explorer App. However, opening the map via a webpage gives no problems. I am not seeing any updates from the Android store to update the app.

(Many hours and ill-advised actions later) I realized that that when I had had a successful connection the first time I also had a VPN running on the android device (torguard, if you're interested). I started torguard and... voila!

I've recently had a problem with ALL of my Android devices not seeing my Win 7 shares after upgrading my home server from XP (on XP they all managed to see them fine using ES File on the devices, for years) - all clean installs and shares all defo setup correctly but no matter what i did all the android devices would either keep asking for a password or just keep spinning. After a few attempts at rebuilds using both 32/64bit versions of Win 7 and alternative android apps with varying success I tried a fresh install with NO MS updates installed - magically everything worked fine. Installed my BitDefender suite - still all OK for days. Then ran the MS updates until they were all done (200+ over a day or so) - shares all went dead again. So.... i was now pretty confident that in my case it was an MS update that stops it working on my machine.

For me it seemed that an updated network card driver was the most likely cause of my issues but it took weeks to find that out as the shares all worked fine with all my other win 7 machine attaching to the shares, it was just the androids that didn't work. My original nic was an onboard type.

File manager apps are among the most important apps on your device. With them, you can browse your files, find your downloads, manage your storage space, move things around, and a lot more. Not everyone is too keen on file organization because it can be pretty boring, but it still must be occasionally done. Here are the best file explorer apps, file browser apps, and file manager apps for Android.

During a session, you can refresh the photos displayed from your mobile device in Office Online and Desktop Apps by clicking the refresh icon in the top right corner of the picker window. If you do not see your photos but do see a QR code, you will need to scan that QR code with your android device and follow the instructions.

In this tutorial, we will learn how to develop a file explorer app for Android using the Storage Access Framework (SAF). SAF is a powerful feature introduced in Android 4.4 KitKat that allows apps to access files and directories in a more user-friendly and secure way. By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to create a basic file explorer app that can browse, open, and manage files on an Android device.

Create a simple user interface for your file explorer app with a RecyclerView to display the list of files and directories. Add a TextView to show the current directory path and a Button to navigate up one level in the file hierarchy.

Congratulations, you've successfully developed a basic file explorer app for Android using the Storage Access Framework! This tutorial should give you a good understanding of how to use SAF to access and manage files in a user-friendly and secure way. If you're looking to hire Android developers for your next project, this tutorial will help you understand the skills and knowledge required for such a project.

In this article, we will discuss that how to check the file explorer and see all the folders inside the android. This is useful when you are working on a local SQL database and want to know where the database is saving in the device, and when we are working on a chat-like app where we want our images, audio files to be saved in separate directories.

Wait till the emulator is launched fully. Now click on the run button in android studio or press (shift + F10) to install App on the device, and start debugging session. Now go to the View > Tool Windows > Device File Explorer as shown in the below image. ff782bc1db
