Hi! I am a computer scientist working in Artifical Intelligence Department, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning group at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Prior to that, I pursued my PhD in Data & Web Science/Artificial Intelligence group at the University of Mannheim, Germany. During past years, I made research visits to the University of Calabria, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, University of Amsterdam (ILLC), and the University of Oxford. I hold a MSc. double-degree in Computational Logic from Vienna/Dresden University of Technology, and a BSc. degree in Computer Science from Isik University.

My research interest lies in logic, decision theory and game theory, and their interactions. As a matter of taste, I like to pursue research on foundations, and investigate new algorithmic and conceptual aspects of things. Lately, I also got an interest in statistical relational learning. The following is a list of coarse-grained words which represents my interest in a broad spectrum:

  • Logic in Computer Science
  • Algorithmic Game/Decision Theory
  • Combining Statistical and Logical Methods in Machine Learning

My current research is generously supported by the NWO TOP-Grant project MaestroGraph.
