I am excited to share the beginning stages of a strong Good Hope MS Libguides library. Libguides are custom web pages designed in collaboration between content teachers and the librarian in order to make library resources more accessible to students. During instruction, students have a "one stop shop" of links to books, online databases, and carefully curated websites so that the research process can go smoothly. Teachers share the links with students via Schoology, and additional content or adjustments can be made to the Libguide throughout the instructional process without requiring the teacher to change the resource link.
This year, Libguides were created for content in 6th, 7th and 8th grade, for five different content areas, as well as for two cultural arts special subjects. Next year, I look forward to working with additional teachers in order to build up even more of these valuable resources.
